Just got home from the Boston theater experience.
Last Guardian barely got any applause and cheers from the audience.
The Uncharted 4 screw up made the fans more energetic than Last Guardian.

Sony's conference is what dreams are made out of. They went above and beyond with their announcements and exclusives. It was so good they deserved the downtime with COD, VR and SW.

Is anyone else just staring at the front page of topics dumbfounded

Seeing "The Last Guardian gameplay video!" and "Final Fantasy VII remake!" and "Shenmue 3!" all together on the same night.

Christ I still can't believe any of this.

Besides uncharted (naughty dog never really disappoints), which had to reboot the demo? I was only impressed/surprised with Horizon. Curious to see what that materializes into.. Kind of felt like reverse Crysis to me (which may or not be a bad thing).

Lastly black ops 3 looked hilariously boring and old. They took advanced warfare, supped it up with titanfall mechanics and through some magic palm elements and that was it.

I'm curious. Did any other conferences impress you with any games shown? I agree with you Horizon was wow. But you said nothing else really impressed you. So I'm kind of curious if anything else at E3 has? Or if you feel E3 overall was a big let down.
 
I really can't wait for all this stuff to come out. I just really want Shenmue 1 and 2 included with 3.

This is doing a really nice job setting up what I want to play this summer, so goddamn excited

I like how you cherry pick a couple of examples and ignore the rest of the conference. They gave gamers what they have been asking for people turn it around as cashing in on Pedigree of developers lMAO
 
Is ratchet and Clank this year? If it is, to not show a game that's out this year shows how confident they were in all this. No price drop. Little Morpheus. Just game after game. And a lot of gameplay too.

They even slightly acknowledged the vita.
 
I had to leave the theater in the middle of Uncharted. Did they ever say what the code on the badge gives you? I redeemed it on the site, and it just said that codes would come over the next few months

Wtf are you talking about? It was merely intended as a measure of how fucking impossible it is to try and have a rational discussion right now, which certainly seems to be a pretty accurate assessment.

Try taking 30 seconds to look at someone's post history before you accuse them of being a console warrior.
 
I'm sorry. But anyone who seriously thinks this was anything less than legendary is off their rockers and is way too salty. This was FUCKING HISTORIC.

Even if you, yourself aren't particularly interested in the games, how can you not recognize what went down tonight.

I chose FF7 Remake in that poll and was sorta embarrassed because I thought it's impossible and wished I could changed it.

Then TLG happened, then Horizon, then FUCK ME FF7R. Shenmue was just the icing on the already delicious cakes. By the time UC4 came, I was full and satiated.
 
Man, the giant bomb guys were just all over Sony in their post show. Do they really just not like the playstation brand?

They were calling out that Sony had no games but...that's literally almost all that was shown at this conference.

EA Access was the lowest point of the conference and you have that a positive? The person you quoted a lot of "good points" missing from the Sony conference, like Hitman, Star Wars, SFV and much much more.

Sony had higher highs and a lot more highs than Microsoft. No two ways about it.
 
Man I needed a breather, TLG, FFVIIR, and Shenmue 3 halfway funded (that's over 1 million out of 2 million).
I can't wait until the Square conference to learn more about FFVII and whatever else they have up their sleeves.
 
Honestly, even taking out the megatons from the equation, I'm pretty sure I would rate Sony's conference higher then MS's for one simple reason:

The gameplay demonstrations didn't suck.

Gears 4, Halo 5 and Tomb Raider were all extremely disappointing demonstrations.

UC4 alone destroyed them. But UC4 + unexpected Horizon gameplay? A slaughter.
 
I'm also wondering; does anyone get hyped by announcements like "and it will be available FIRST on PS4!"

Like they always announce that like its the big show stopper, but who cares? If you want to play your remade PSX game, does it really make you feel better to know that you're making other people wait? lol like I get it's a smart business decision for Sony, but that's not an exciting announcement.

Dude, they're video games. If I use the word pandering you can probably recognize that I'm not calling it immoral or something to that extreme. You know how words work and you know that context can change things. Go online and you can find hundreds of instances of people using pandering and video games together. Stop creating some non-argument.

They've already shown off NMS and UC4. Horizon is the only new thing on that list. No, I don't own a PS4. But I WANT A REASON TO OWN ONE. Something new! Horizon? That looked cool man! Show me more, don't spend so much time on things that I've seen before and other old shit.
 
Had an opportunity to see it in theatre at the E3 experience. It was awesome. Thanks for the goodies Sony. Looking forward to my Arkham PS4 arriving next week from Amazon! The future looks good for PS family. Great conference.
 
Expected a Persona 5 release date, got a fucking FF VII Remake lmao

I can't deny it, I'm excited as fuck about it even though it's not gonna happen for years lol. Other than that, the rest of the conference was like MS's - kind of meh to me. Shenmue 3 and TLG are massive, but I really just don't care about either at all. Hitman is fun, but I'll be playing it on PC. What the hell MM's "game" even was? Wish they'd just make like a real next-gen LBP. Guerrilla Games? Eeeeh..

Looks like there won't be any interesting PS4 exclusive releases for another 12 months, so it seems like I made the right decision in selling the console.

Still a bummer about Persona 5, I just want a confirmation that the PS3 (now that I don't have my PS4 anymore) version is coming out in western markets in 2015.

I just made it back alive. Dear fucking lawwwwwd that was amazing. I cannot believe they opened with that magnificent beast and love them for doing so. But the onslaught that came afterwards, what in the flying fuuuck...not even in my wildest dreams was I prepared for all that shit at once.

Fucking stuff of legends man. Hats off to everyone involved, you fucking outdone yourselves.

Is PS Now really seen as a BC solution? Thought it was like a much larger platform for selling games?

I don't think Sony will do BC because of the Cell chip hurdles (I would assume, that plays a factor in making PS3 era games emulated). Even if that's not the case, I kind of don't see them doing anything about BC either. We still don't even know how BIG BC will even be on X1. In terms of the list size, in terms of how often publishers will sign off on it. I guess only time will tell. In my mind though, I'm really glad I have this option on my X1. But I'm still not 100% on how big the feature will actually be, in terms of solving BC.
 
MS gameplay showings were weak, people listing games from both keep forgetting horizon and UC4 looked better then anything MS showed, there there are the bombs Sony dropped.
 
Now that Sony is the fairy godmother of gaming dreams. Is it so crazy to imagine next E3 we will see Kojima unleashing a new "P.T" IP with his new Sony studio?
 
What happened to Hellblade Isn't that a PS4 exclusive? You would think they would have it at the conference. Or did they see it leaked and just went "fuck it" and left it out?
