EA Access was the lowest point of the conference and you have that a positive? The person you quoted a lot of "good points" missing from the Sony conference, like Hitman, Star Wars, SFV and much much more.

Sony had higher highs and a lot more highs than Microsoft. No two ways about it.

All of the stuff he listed is exclusive, Hitman and star wars are not. Sony did not have a lot of exclusive goodness. Only a bunch of play it first on Playstation and DLCs.

A full press conference with a crowd and all its imperfections will always be superior to Nintendo's way of presenting through an E3 Direct. IMO of course
I remember thinking at the start that the whole thing was way too excessive and silly, which wasn't helped by people like that Activison guy who think they're hot shit for standing in front of a stage and talking about video games.

I guess I'm cynical, but I like how simple Nintendo's is. The big montage at the beginning of Sony's conference with the pan overs of the crowd made me feel dead inside.

"What a waste"

I thought Sony had a pretty good conference. Though it should be noted the big reveals are still vaporware, they were 3 pretty big fanboy dreams that are at least confirmed to have some effort of being worked on (I personally don't care about any of them). The conference was also a tremendous improvement in pacing to like the last 10 years of conferences they've done. Still could have done with something different with BLOPS3 and Uncharted as both were pretty much every AAA demo ever and I mentally checked out in that last portion.

By saying you can't have a rational discussion on Neogaf because it's like the home team winning the world series? If I concluded wrong from that statement, I'm sorry but it seemed like a straightforward analogy to me. No one mentioned console warrior except you, your post history is your business, no where does my post infer that you were one.

I suppose I see your angle now, sorry if I offended. If there's a home team being implied, it was fans of three pieces of legendary vaporware, which feels like 95 percent of this place right now.

I'm just gonna shut up now and leave the thread.

I honestly didn't even know people wanted a FF7Remake until I saw the "FF7Re at E3? Sources say yes!" thing today. How long have people been asking for that? Why do people want it that badly?

Or rather, I thought about as many people wanted a FF7Remake as people want a SM64 remake or a MGS remake.

People are asking for this ever since they showed a FF7 tech demo for PS3. That was 10 years ago. Its one of the best RPGs ever. It's history of being a PSX exclusive at the time just blowed people away. It ruined Nintend/Square relationship.

This game is so many things and more, its hard not to gush about it.

Thank you for posting this.

So amazing. I missed that. Totally sums up how I was feeling.

I seriously cannot believe that tonight happened.

The Last Guardian.. I know people saying it looks last gen... But I dont even care. Looked gorgeous and I felt the emotion in it too.

FF7: R.. If it a remaster with the same mechanics as the original.. All in. Please don't change the battle style.

I can honestly say, I couldn't have wanted anything more...

( except an announcement saying you could play music and movie files from your hard drive )

And you should be happy that people are happy. It makes the world a better place.

8.5/10

Lots of big nostalgia bomb announcements, but far off into the future or just average looking. Greatness waits indeed.

The indie stuff and muliplat looks good but will be better on pc so no need to rush out for a ps4 this year.

Definitely better than MS but not a lot of real PS only substance for the near to intermediate term future.

I like how everyone is overlooking that SONY TOOK CoD TIMED-DLC AWAY FROM MS.

I mean, holy shit. Thats a black eye MS is not going to recover from anytime soon...
^this

COD money was MS breadmaker. They used that money to buy exclusivity on things like GTA's IV DLC, I believe.

That was an amazing performance by Sony.

This is how I rate this years E3 so far.

1. Sony
2. Microsoft
3. Bethesda
4. Ubi (only because I liked the new Ghost Recon)
5. EA

Didn't watch any Nintendo stuff.

My must haves.

The Last Guardian
Halo 5
Uncharted 4
Unravel
Doom
Fallout 4
SW Battlefront

It will be interesting to see how the media measures up all the conferences. I enjoyed some of microsofts, and most of Sony's due to all the dreams becoming manifest. Eventually.
Ad long as people are getting what they want from their console of choice, I think it's been a great E3 overall.

ROFL. Then what have 23 million + bought ps4's for?
I mean, I bought mine for Bloodborne. Not disappointed!

Yeah, I guess it's just the lack of nostalgia for me that makes the announcement so uninteresting. But that's also missing for me with Shenmue, and I know people wanted that. I just honestly had no idea about FF7Remake.

ROFL. Then what have 23 million + bought ps4's for?

Nonsense.

I said Sony won E3, and convincingly so. Their conference destroyed all the others we've seen so far...

But everything I want is coming to PC. Bloodborne is the only title released in 2015 that I want, and I'll play it eventually when there's more titles that I want... I just don't see what else there is in 2015 I should get excited for, on either PS4 or Xbox One.

Beautiful.

Sony are in NO FUCKS MODE guys!!

You know what this means? Shenmue 3 next :OOOOO

lol this post was great!

If anything this seemed like Sony cashing in on the pedigree of their developers rather than waiting for compelling products to be ready. Loved LBP? Here's Media Molecule with some weird art thing. We won't show any discernible gameplay but trust us, MM is great. Team Ico made some kickass games back in the day, here's a game that's been stuck in development hell for 7 years and doesn't appear to have progressed at all. Don't worry about it, SotC was baller. Shenmue was a fan-favorite series, lots of nostalgia, here's a fucking Kickstarter for a new one since we can't be arsed to fund it ourselves. Only TRUE Shenmue fans will fund this game for us!!

Weak conference to me.

wtf am I even reading?! what a cherry picked salty ass post

Just FYI for those wondering about the 'budget' and Kickstarter:

I thought this was bloody obvious...but given the reaction of some guess not.

Gaf Appeal: 9.5/10.

Mass market appeal: 7/10.

Incredible conference for long-time Sony and JRPG fans, though can't help but feel as though many of the today's bombs will go over the average gamer's head unfortunately. Looking at forums aside from GAF, conference already seems pretty divisive. Who knows though. Uncharted looked incredible, Horizon was fresh, and they have Black Ops and Battlefront bolstering PS4's already crazy momentum. Damn I wish there was a price drop though :'(

lmfao they ended one of THE best third party marketing deals MS had this conference with Call of Duty. They are also marketing one of the biggest games of the year with Battlefield. They are also marketing Batman/Destiny etc etc. They also got exclusive content for one of the most popular family oriented franchises around with Disney Infinity.

I could go on and on. This conference was the perfect balance of catering to the core and the mass market. Sony is going to absolutely kill it this holiday season.

I'm getting a weird feeling from the whole of gaming press like why did they bother coming if they're just gonna be down on everything(. does anyone know of an outlet they would classify as excited about games? Gosh darn I miss old school 1up.

Why are people salty? We just got the games we've been waiting years for. How is this a bad thing?

You need to reframe your thoughts about gaming into a juvenile partisan approach where you inexplicably tie your self worth to the perceived fortunes of your console manufacturer of choice. Or just huff some paint, it equates to the same thing.

You don't speak for the average gamer though, there are tonnes of reason to buy a ps4.

Gee, maybe they're talking about themselves. Smh.

He should have clarified...instead of making blanket statements.

Would have had bigger impact if this years COD looked good. I was WAY more hyped for AW. Doesn't look like MS lost much.

The way it sounded, PlayStation will be the home of Call of Duty in general for the next few years. They worded it very strongly. This is not a one year deal, and it's pretty arbitrary to think it's a good deal some years, and a bad deal other years because you randomly decided not to think this iteration looks poor.

The idea is obviously about how big the news is, regardless of any independent analysis of how the game turned out. I hate all Call of Duty games since they went modern FPS with Modern Warfare 1, and yet any year someone has a marketing deal with the series is huge news.

Vaporware? I ALWAYS BELIEVED. NOW I'M OFFENDED. Just kidding, I should apologize for reading way too deep into the home team thing, in that sense I see your point, I guess we wait for the afterglow to wear off before we can all give unbiased points of view on the whole.
