Metal Gear Solid V E3 2015 Trailer

What's the sentence at around 4:05 between "with this I rid the world of infestation" and "the world will be torn asunder"? Doesn't sound like English to me.

Came here to see if anyone else thinks Skull Face is a 'Phantom' or a 'Hallucination' if you will. Glad to see I'm not alone. He totally comes out of nowhere at the end. What an awesome trailer. Can't wait to play!

My god, trailer of E3 once again. The end of the trailer, hype!! Music once again was awesome and now have a new song on my playlist.

I think it was french or something for "A world without tongues" or something like that.

"A world without a working language."

A lingua franca is a language used for intercommunication between speakers of different native languages. Historically, examples have been Greek (in Alexander's empire,) Latin (the Roman Empire,) and currently the predominant lingua franca is English.

I have a portion of my degree based on Aboriginal Studies. I recall one of my early meetings with an Iroquois Elder where he spoke about how the language can take us back, it's a ladder that allows us to climb to the past. So much cultural identity is woven in the language. This resonated heavily with me in this trailer. Can't wait to download the high res version when I get off work in a few hours.

Trailer was cringe worthy.

At first I thought the invisible jiggly boob robot zombie ladies were redesigned versions of these dudes (who don't exist) from the earlier trailer:

But then I realised they're still there:

Same weird strappy outfit thing. So it seems like we'll be facing two different kinds of freaky supersoldiers.

That's a third type (giants?)
The bald ones dont have things over their eyes.

Not a very impressive trailer imo. Just shows off cutscenes for what we already know is going to be a convoluted mess of a story.

Show us more of that open-world gameplay. Gameplay > cutscenes.

Noticed the different armour being worn by Snake at the end. Liked the sort of nods to daily Mother Base life, like fights or washing blood off your face. Looking forward to what sort of customization and upgrades Snake and Mother Base have. Rather confusing horror, otherwise.

Best E3 ever?

The part with Skull Face in the back of the jeep is rather bad but aside from that...it's a pretty stunning trailer. I think the music is absolutely perfect, creates such an ethereal and melancholy tone.

I really wish I had played the other MGS games. This trailer was absolutely amazing even though I had no idea what was going on lol

I love how — at least to me — the E3 trailers were going darker and darker. I just rewatched the Sins of the Father trailer, and although I already knew the kind of story that Kojima was going to tell back then, I'd never think that it would get this creepy. The song choice for this year's trailer helped a lot, though.

Holy shit, with the whole language theme, I just realized the line "words that kill" has a greater weight to it.

The best part is that it's got ties to the memetic/information control themes of MGS2. La li lu le lo, anyone?
