None of it really works in the new art style though. The "realistic" models in FF7 were still stylized with cartoony proportions (think of the bulbous Barrett for example). They're going to be re-imagined out of necessity.

Don't forget, they did some of the realistic 'Advent Children' style character models with the classic costumes for the 10 year anniversary, though.

I mean the majority of fans are old enough to buy mature games now... and a number of the themes work better if you can leave them dark and creepy. (mostly the jenova stuff)

I suppose you could just push the line of teen and still make it (as you don't want to make the major death scene to bloody/violent but it would be nice if there was a bleed out)

I also wonder how much new content will be added to the game, and how much removed. I have to imagine a number of the mini games will be gone or drastically changed.

It could actually be another Versus situation, where the trailers for XIII are pretty much ignored and the Versus trailers are rewatched over and over.

Way past my bedtime, very few things get me to miss quality sleep. Been awaiting this day since I saw that PS3 tech demo in 2005.

It is single-handedly the one thing that I've been mentioning to friends and my big brother, for a decade now. Like, literally every E3, every TGS, every time there's somehow a connection to FFVII (Crisis Core, Advent Children, etc), I've said "This is it. We've never been closer to a remake."

If one has been a true hype-machine of FFVII Remake since day one, then one would remember how painful this was (Kaz):

The funny thing is, I had a PS2, I had Final Fantasy 7, but I NEVER had the PS1 memory card you needed to save your game. So, I played the game as long as I possibly could before finally turning it off. That was the extent of my FF7 experience (same with 8). I loved it. So to me, this remake will practically be like a new game for me. Can't wait to experience the whole thing. And I pray to god it's on Xbox One or I'm going to cry into my pillow.

Something along the lines of Type-0 in the overworld aspects but with higher fidelity. Expansion of the party members individual storylines, Like Red with Cosmos Canyon, Cid with the rocket, Yuffie with Wutai, Barret with his daughter.

And pretty much everything else the same conceptually.

Also just make the fighting system fun, don't really care if it's turn based, action or atb
