One of the best conferences in long time!
But i really was expecting release dates for Rime and The Witness :(
Also except for SF5 characters, where was Capcom at all???

I'm sending GAF live reactions back to HQ. Basically I try to sum up the vibe of various threads ... Right now there are so many threads and posts of joy I don't know where to start ...

If it helps, I uttered the words "holy" and "shit" a billion times.

Couldn't believe we finally saw the last guardian again. Time to retire all those gifs. Oh, and my wife and I were in hysterics during the ff7r reveal. I actually said to my wife "next they'll be announcing shenmue 3."

Couple of minutes later, my usually deep voice was yelling "it's fucking shenmue!" in an unusually high pitch.

Lots of other great things too. Can't wait to see more of hitman or Horizon, but those were obviously overshadowed by the three megatons. I look forward to learning more about them once I calm down in a month or so.

The only "disappointment" of the show was no half life 3, which would no one in their right mind would expect to see debut at Sony's e3 show. I just thought I would push my luck after my "next they'll be announcing shenmue 3." joke actually came to fruition. Unbelievable show. I still can't believe it.

I don't know how big it is, but Horizon looks like it fits the bill. I'd love to see a a big jRPG on the new gen. And by 'big' I mean graphically impressive and fairly large.
Horizon looks absolutely nuts. I just re-watched the video and it looks top notch.

Yeah I'm keeping an eye on that one, like I said in my initial post, it's the one game that stood out for me.

Probably in the minority here but uhm, I'm pretty disapointed. That Guerilla game looked alright but don't care at all about everything that seem to have people going mad.
I have no clue what a Shenmue is, don''t care about FF let alone a remake of an old one, and that last guardian looked boring as hell, the voice of that little kid already got on my nerves in the few minutes a footage shown..
I'm debating to sell my PS4 once i'm done with the Witcher 3 and get an XB1 honestly, love me some Gears and i'm able to play my old 360 games.

If I sat down & tried like hell to write a troll post in which I imitated the most negative "American Dude Bro" stereotype I dont think I could do much better than this. Bravo. Lol

I still ended up disappointed that Persona 5 wasn't even mentioned despite it being PS3/4 only and Atlus having it at their booth in some capacity.
They easily could have gotten rid of that second montage in the middle of the conf to give it a small spot, or shortened the COD/Disney Infinity segments.

Damn.... damn, damn, damn... That's is one of the best E3 conferences I've ever seen. Last Guardian, Horison, No Man's Sky, FF7 remake - and that's just the top of it... And then Fallout 4 at Beth. Truly a great E3 this year.

Don't worry, this conference convinced him to swap his PS4 for an XB1 for Gears and his old 360 games.

LOOOLLLLLL

Just finished watching it.

First of all: FF VII Remake, Shenmue III!!! What kind of sorcery is this?! HYPED as fuck!

Next: was disappointed by Horizon and The Last Guardian. While the former is visually very impressive, the scenario with 'dinosaur' machines (!) behaving like dumb animals (roaring etc.) and fought against with bows very dull...

TLG looked like it was directly captured from the PS3 version. Was very jaggy and not very detailed. The child constantly yelling after the guardian was very annoying and if gameplay works out as shown it's boring. This coming from someone who loves Ico & SotC to death.

Uncharted was just pure insanity!! Gameplay just as expected, nothing innovating to see there, but it looks just absolutely gorgeous. This huuuuuge city, massive crowd of ppl, dat lightning, just everything - pure AWESOMENESS!

What I can't deal with it the hardcore PR blatter of most ppl on stage as well as the moderators of the pre- and after-show. Only guys which felt authentic to me were Adam and Shuhei. In comparison watching Nintendo guys (last year's Digital Event, NWC 2015, probably this years Digital Event) feels soooo comfortable like you're hanging out with your best friends ^^

Am I the only one who is slightly disappointed by this conference?

- Horizon looked great
- The Last Guardian looks really, really dated
- Uncharted 4 is Uncharted - always been a fan of the series. But that was hardly a 'big surprise'.

But no GT7? What on earth are PD doing? T10 have released 6 full titles in the space PD have released 3. At this rate, Forza 7 or 8 will be out before GT7.

The only new game that I'm interested in is Horizon.

Yes. You have to like every single thing Sony showed today. Otherwise you're just salty according to some people.

What's amazing to me are all the announced exclusives Sony didn't talk about at E3:

The Witness
RIME
WiLD
Quantic Dream's project
The Tomorrow Children
Hot Shots Golf
Persona 5
What Remains of Edith Finch
Shadow of the Beast
Hunger

Then there are console (timed) exclusives like The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, The Talos Principle or SOMA that would've all deserved to be up there, too.

Just a show with all these games would've been great. Gaming is good, guys.

85% chance you'll see half of them at Paris Games Week i'd guess

I don't mind being called a dudebro, but you crossed the line at American.

The cool thing about Sonys conference is that they should've intentionally leaked the entire running order ahead of time - who would've believed it - only a lunatic :)

I agree.

Final Fantasy games have always bored me. Turn based combat is the worst.

To be honest I was hoping for the new God Of War or Gran Turismo to feature in the conference.

So, in summary.

The Last Guardian looks like the sequel to ICO and Shadow of the Colossus for better or worse. I've grown to love Shadow of the Colossus more every year but ICO a little less.

Horizon: Zero Dawn has the most superfluous sub-title in recent memory. Game looks amazing and will keep my eye on it.

Hitman looked just as boring as the rest of the series so hopefully fans of it will enjoy it just as much. I'll safely keep it at the same arms-length I always have. (I actually own all of them but haven't played them... damn you Steam sales!)

World of Final Fantasy looks cute and could be a lot of fun if given the right care. Will keep my eyes open for it.

Final Fantasy VII Remake took me by surprise. It looked really awesome. Still don't understand who was talking in the narration or what he was going on about. But I'm guessing that's Numora's fault. This is awesome. Still want the PC port though.

Dreams looks like the best thing ever. This needs Morpheus support. This has the potential to be something that could define gaming for the next couple of years.

Firewatch was a fun trailer. Has a lot of promise. Like most horror walk'em'ups I really hope the ending doesn't shit up the product as a whole.

Destiny is Destiny and I'll buy it and play it. I love Destiny. I'm a sucker.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III looks like you'd expect and nothing I'll play ever. How odd it's now on PlayStation platforms.

Shenmue was fun. Hopefully they'll bring over HD ports of 1 and 2 so I get to play them. Have a feeling I'll be bored as fuck but I'll give it a glance.

Disney Infinity... zZzzZzzz.

Star Wars Battlefront was the most visually stunning game I've seen. Could be the streaming and shit but at times it looked like those faux game videos where it was just IRL recordings with a UI spliced on top.

No Man's Sky needs to be released now.

Uncharted looked amazing. The lack of loading and the sense of action is unparallelled.

So an amazing show case of things to come. Surely a lot of things I've forgotten to mention.

Yeah, they really did a fantastic job this year, gotta give it to 'em. Three huge announcements for games that were barely more than memes at this point and the most impressive looking new IP of E3 so far (Horizon). Not bad at all.

Only downer was the eye rolling Call of Duty shit. They don't need early DLC for that, just getting it day and date would have been more than enough. Just felt so unnecessary.

Just wondering though... where the hell was Level 5 at?

I think it was the World of FF game but its not confirmed.

The main highlights for me were:
Horizon
Uncharted 4
TLG
& with Ratchet coming up it's going to be a good 2016.But where's Bend?

This will go down as one of the biggest E3 conferences ever. I still gotta make this joke though.

"So what PS4 games can we look forward to in 2015, Sony?"

- Horizon and uncharted looked fantastic
- Obviously NMS is an ambitious project, but your man didn't demo it well, and you can just tell thats been delayed to fuck.
- Shenmue, final fantasy, and the last guardian are all awesome things.

We got FF7, Shenmue and TLG.. the Holy Trinity.

So can we make a Kickstarter for Sony to bring back Jack Tretton just to host E3 conferences?

Feels like they had 3 people do his job about 1/4 as well.

are Sony providing good quality videos of their conference games on PSN to download/stream? Or am I better off downloading them on PC and playing them on Xbox/PS4 via DLNA?

Turok Dinosaur Hunter has finally returned!

I remember playing Shenmue on the original Dreamcast, but I never played Shenmue 2 due to the fact that I never had an Xbox. I don't even have a 360 anymore. I wonder how hard it would be to track down and play again.

GT7 can wait for TGS.

Are any of the games shown coming out this year I didn't catch any release dates?

Which games are you talking about?
CoD and Assassin's Creed will be out this year.

If you are more specific, people can answer properly and also seize specific patterns/inclinations in your questions.
