Xbox One BC Screenshots: Share Yours!

I think it's looks great. Need to test it with 3D games, like Toy Soldiers or Viva Pinata

Sorry I gotta comment, good software engineers aren't exclusive to Microsoft.
As a company yes, both are masters in their own departments, but that doesn't stop MS or Sony hiring people or already having people who are just as good or better then each others.
it's what they do with them that matters, and remember Sony did file a patent for a emulatior with trophy support ages ago, so a software engineer came up with that and Sony has done nothing with it.

aye, the way i put it was very simplistic.

question: you don't get a digital version of the game by having a physical copy, do you? or if you do because that's just how it works, you still need to put the disk in to play the game right?

I can invite people as if they want to the preview program.

Add me as a friend on Xbox and I'll send the invite when I see you.

Do remember its not instant that your in, it can take up to 48 hours for you to become a preview member and have access to it.

My Gamertag is Quick Mustard

I also dont know if theres a limit to how many I can invite.

Good man! Have added you, my GT is SafeStx

Hello! I've added you as a friend, and sent you a quick message on XBL. Thanks for offering to invite to the Preview program!

So is this actually rendering the games at 1080p? Or is it just upscaling? If it's the former, then this is a very impressive feature.

Those Viva Pinata screens look great, but I'm on my phone so the reduced screen size and PPI make all screenshots look amazing.

The following are supported with BC:

Screenshots, Video with Xbox Record That, and Twitch Broadcasts.

In addition: Suspend/Resume, Snapping, Party Chat, Multiplayer, and (for digital games) game sharing.

Basically, it supports everything the Xbox One supports. They did work.

Upscaling. I really wish they would add the option to render at a higher resolution, maybe even a post-process AA option for games that need it.

Yes, I would specifically like to see Red Dead Redemption added to the list.

Does anyone know if this supports DLC?

If I want to do a Mass Effect play through will all DLC, is that an option?

Yep, it supports DLC and Xbox Live. You can even play with 360 owners in Xbox Live multiplayer, with full voice chat. It's very well done. Also supports save games via Cloud Save.

What does it support regarding the 360 OS? Can I start a 360 party within the 360 game? Can I load the 360 guide, and check 360 achievements list?

So good that it doesn't boot the system into a dedicated 360 mode, that was annoying with xbox BC last gen

This is how Wii U manages Wii BC as well, super annoying but the fact that they had copies of Mario Galaxy 2 and the entire Metroid Prime Trilogy for $10 on the Wii U eshop makes it ok in my books. Four of the best games of all time for $20 makes the Wii Mode no biggie.

Also nice that Wii BC is run through the Wii U's upscaler and allows you to use HDMI for a digital image (not possible on original Wii).

What bothers me about the XBox One BC is that Microsoft has explicitly stated that XBox One was not going to be able to play XBox 360 games so I stopped collecting the Games with Gold free 360 games a while back. Now they add BC and I've lost out on like 15-20 games I should have.

Enough with money-gating online multiplayer, making people manually add their Games with Gold games to their account, and especially enough changing what you tell your customers. This is a change for the better this time, but only after having fed false information to fans which has resulted in people missing out on games they should have been given without manually needing to tie to their profile.

You can't load the Dashboard, but pressing Menu+View (Start+Select) brings up the Guide.

Yes to party in 360, yes to 360 achievements list. Beacons are there, friends list, messages, etc.

It's the full shebang. No media/music/marketplace blade though.

Christ, the thirst is real, lol (Added nearly 20 people in 5 minutes)

Anyone thats added me and I show up as a friend for you as well has been added.

I'll keep checking every so often to make sure anyone that adds me gets an invite.

I cant guarantee you'll all get in as I have no idea how it works, but I'll invite as many as I can!

I've added you, DangerMan x64 is my GT. If I could get an invite that would be sweet!

Does it look better than on a regular 360?
Haven't played x360 games in a while but it looks pretty similar.
Have a huge collection though and this would be alright.

Is it only games from that list or can I transfer my XBLA games from my 360 HD to my One and play it? I'd really like to see if I can get GCI going.

So now we can all remember how ugly last gen was and put a stop to the all the "this gen sucks! I can't see the leap!"

I mean PDZ was a launch title. Compare that to something like Reach or Gears 3 whatever and it's a pretty big difference. (Still think PDZ is a pretty game, same with Kameo).

I'm curious what approach they're using here. Low-level emulation is likely out of the question due to performance reasons. I'm assuming they wrote some compatibility libraries and are doing a dynamic recompilation style approach?

Two Perfect Darks? Wasn't there just PDZ?

I haven't had a 360 in a couple years, and I was eventually going to pick up a new one just for some of the XBLA games that never made the PC leap (Shadow Complex, for one.)

But hell, they get Shadow Complex added and I'll seriously pick up a One instead eventually. I have quite a few digital xbox 360 games.

Can I get an invite?

20% away from installing Mass Effect so I'll put up some screens. Would be cool if anyone had Mass Effect on 360 or PS3 with a capture card to do some comparisons. I don't have my X360 with me.

The other one is the remaster of the N64 Perfect Dark which was released on XBLA.

I'd love all my favourite XBLA games to make it over, I poured a lot of money into XBLA last gen and I thought I'd have to keep my 360 around forever. This is such amazing news!

Strangely enough, I didn't get Hexic HD. I wonder if itt's because it came installed with the 360 and I never had to buy it.

Interestingly, the OS prevents you from screenshotting or DVR-ing the Xbox 360 Guide, but it's definitely there, and fast as I've ever seen it.

Here's Battleblock Theatre:

Neato! Need to start reaching out to game devs, hope to see the library increase.
By the way, do retail games install, or what?

So, how it works? I just need the game disc, and thats it? Or i need to be a preview member?

Right now, you need to be a preview member, and you need a disc (or digital download) for one of the games that supported. Currently that list is really small for the preview (20 games or so?) but when it releases officially later this year, it should (hopefully) be much larger.

Really just hoping for RDR... And then others would be icing on the cake.
