This team. I cannot believe this team. Cavia gameplay (I'm sorry to people who like them) is mediocre. Nier was the first game of theirs that was actually REALLY good. The world, setting, and even the gameplay to some extent. PLUS THAT MUSIC. They just took what was good about Nier, and gave it to an action gaming powerhouse. I can't even. Akihiko Yoshida art, too? AHHHH

This was a massive whiplash from the nonstop explosions of Just Cause 3.

I'm not the largest Nier fan, but I can totally get behind this title.

Platinum Games is everywhere. I don't particularly enjoy their style of games, but I acknowledge that they make great games and I'm glad that their hard work has paid off.

It's nice seeing them get all this work.
Yeah they've got plenty of work. Congrats to them.

Really surprised Sony didn't have this at their conference.

Not that they NEEDED it but it would've been cool to have it among all the hype and chaos.
I think it's actually better. Now people keep talking about the PS4 and its not being overshadowed by TLG or others!

Is it ps4 exclusive?

I think at the moment PS4 is just the only platform that makes sense for the game. My logic is that if Sony paid money to keep it PS4 exclusive they would have shown it at the Sony's conference. Crossing fingers for PC release myself. Bring over the original NieR while you'reat it.

My God is was like Huber yesterday with Shenmue!

NieR 2 with Platinum Combat? Taro still directing? Okabe OST? I'm crying Guys!

So the only problem with Neir was it's clunky gameplay and we KNOW that is a not a problem with Platinum. This is a fantastic collaboration.

FUCK FUCK FUCK

Hallelujah. Thank you god. God is real. Keiichi okabe is doing OST too.

FUCK
FUCk

FUCK

FUCk I can't even HOLYSHIT OMG HOLY FUCK FUCK MY GOD FUCK BEAUTIFUL FUCK FUCK

I'm a little disappointed we are only seeing PS4, but maybe we get a PC release later? Square Enix seems to be all about that these days.

Came out of nowhere.

Really surprised Sony didn't have this at their conference.

Not that they NEEDED it but it would've been cool to have it among all the hype and chaos.

Can't believe they chose to talk about Destiny AGAIN at e3 instead of giving this the spotlight.

Nier, Star Fox, Scalebound, Transformers

Damn how big is platinumgames

I'll admit, I hope they're not spreading themselves too thin.

On the other hand, more contracts means potential expansion, strengthened reputation, and more future PG goodness, possibly even one day leading to publishing independence. So it's good that they're everywhere.

Even though I fucking hate Nier.

I'm still reeling, it's a genuine dream come true, this E3 is unbelievably amazing.

Square Enix destroyed E3, crazy how that works out.

All you gotta do is give Yoko Taro a budget and some programmers.

I'm not even watching the S-E conference anymore. I don't care.

yeah just hanging out and checking in with people about it now lol

I've never made an effort to play Nier. But that has changed as of now. I really have no idea what to expect from it other than people say it's good, but flawed.

I enjoyed Nier, but I never saw this coming. I just wonder what they'll improve because I could imagine there's potential with this.

Didnt play nier, but I know people love it.

Can someone explain very quickly what makes it so interesting?

It's a very subversive video game experience, it takes everything you think is going on at face value and flips it on its head at some point, especially once you play through again on NG+ then it gets even more insane.

The game isn't very pretty, and is kind of clumsy to play but it's such a unique experience with a beautiful soundtrack. The story is also really really great.

The game feels like a mash up of genres with most boss fights feeling like they have bullet hell elements to them.

Also having a really unique connection to Drakengards ending D is cool if you're into that.

Awesome! Nier was rough around the edges gameplay wise, but it's music and story made it one of the saddest games I ever played. In a good way of course.
