In the year of impossible sequels and remakes I'm still left searching for true happiness.

Great content but pretty meh conference. Not bad though. So many games they have are launching this year and early next year.

Sony still the best at being a crowd pleaser, and it really shows this year.

Since people like to do this points thing I'll give it a try. S-E gets 7/10 points for a pretty good conference.

Plus 100 points for Nier. That's 107 points.

Sorry, everyone else.

Nice conference. Something for everybody. Like that japan is still in the picture, and liked him pulling up all the devs one more time on stage.

My scores for all E3 conferences

Bethseda - 8/10
Microsoft - 5/10
EA - 2/10
Ubisoft - 6/10
Sony - 9.5/10
Nintendo - 2/10
Square-Enix - 8/10

Squaresoft restructuring is the best thing that happened to them, they will be huge in the coming years if they keep this up

A) Dude's english is pretty good yo so shut your traps.

B) Decent conference. Less of the explanatory talky-bits and more straight gameplay/dev talking would be prefered but still.

C) Solid lineup for the future. How much out this year though? Only remembered Hitman off the top of my head.

D) I thought the crowd was fairly respectful actually, don't know what you lot are on about

They didn't even show Dragon Quest Heroes. And it will probably not be promoted at all. They really like to just pretend it doesn't exist in the west.

Square Enix absolutely killed it. What a conference. SE seems so focused and determined these days. What a nice change from the SE of a few years ago that was barely functional. Excellent diversity of Western and Japanese titles too.

Also, Hashimoto is the best.

Square-Enix - Some great content, but awful format. Short on real gameplay footage, high focus on trailers & talking heads.
+Just Cause 3 looks downright outstanding. Love it, love it, love it.
+Hitman sounds neat. A polished take on Early Access development?
+Sure, I guess Kingdom Hearts 3 is sharp.
+Deus Ex looks hot.
+Tomb Raider still fancy looking, but should it really be launching the same day as FO4?
+GO as a franchise sounds super promising.
-Bleh Final Fantasy
-Bleh JRPGS
-Bleh mobile
-Bleh Nier
-No gameplay demos, just trailers.

B-. Some stuff I really liked, buried in a bad conference structure & JRPGs.

Surprisingly solid effort. I wonder if we're finally.starting to see the fruits of that restructuring a couple of years back.

Nier 2 is still kind of blowing my mind right now, and it's even weirder to be able to say that in a post FFVIIR and Shenmue 3 world.

Also, Hashimoto is the BEST.

Good show. The presentation was a bit rough, but they have a lot of games that I want. Good lineup, and a bit stronger on the Japanese side than I would have expected.

I'd rank 'em like this:

Sony: A+
Bethesda: B+
Square-Enix: B+
Nintendo: B-
Microsoft: B-
Ubisoft: C
EA: D

Very decent showing from Square illustrating a change in commitment and doubling down on what they do best –– I was disappointed with no FFXII HD, but hopefully that'll be at TGS.

Their conference was so cringeworthy funny with bad presentations but I loved it for some reason, the content was good though. xD

They needed to work on their trailer making skills though.

STILL

CRINGE

Was this intentional? xDDD

Bummed at no FF12 HD, but there's been enough hinting and other things about it that I still am pretty confident that will happen at some point.

Other than that I'm bummed at no localization announcement of DQ7 3DS, DQ8 3DS or DQ Theatrhythm, but I think those were all fairly low odds anyway (especially DQ7).

was decent presentation for me, but mainly because I'm not into JC3, Hitman, DE

I was only hoping for a FF XII Vita port ....

Just Cause 3 and KH 3 Best of Show!
I was really wowed by KH3 and more than a little curious about Star Ocean. I'm probably a day 1 for Deus Ex, but that was pretty much predetermined before I saw this presentation.

World of Final Fantasy might actually be worth playing! Hard to tell from what I've seen.

Hitman and Just Cause aren't my thing.

It really seems like Square has gotten their shit together after all these years. FFXIV would certainly attest to that. I hope beyond hope that it's not all smoke and mirrors. They were such an integral part of my development as a young gamer.

Pretty sure neither of those are accurate. A good amount of people were asking what is so great about NieR

I doubt most people even know who Yoko Taro is, or that he always wears masks (or uses puppets) during interviews. I don't even know what his real face looks like.

buying eidos is probably SE best business move since the merger, now they get to release all this eidos owned IP giving them a major foothold on the western market. Deus Ex, Hitman and Tomb Raider all look great.

solid conference, hyped for SO5 and Deus Ex the most.

What I took out of this conference is that Square Enix are looking to come back to their pre-2005 days, and that's good enough for me.

The Nintendo direct is the only conference I missed. What was notable? It seems not many people liked it.

I remember when it was the whole Nintendo vs Square Enix thing due to the time slot.

"I'll watch Nintendo, Square will have nothing to show".

Now look what happened, Nintendo has been getting almost universally panned and Square Enix dropped one of the biggest bombs in gaming.
