Where the fuck is Retro. Was that tweet just a kick to the balls
Naw. It's like I said earlier. Their statement "Can you dig it?" wasn't a teaser. It was a request to help dig the Wii U's grave.

All of these games really do look great. Like, across the board. Even Happy Home Designers and Metroid - the two games I thought looked the weakest in the direct (aside from Skylanders and the AC board game) - are now looking like games I will buy.Treehouse once again showing how people are exaggerating things to hell and back.
The presentation was lame, the games look really neat.
It would be nice if Nintendo were to reward the loyal customers who bought a Wii U, especially after it would seem they're about to kill it off so soon.
Animal Crossing Party looks more attractive to me than a new AC. It's a new concept, instead of another retread on the same material. /QUOTE]
How exactly is a worse version of Mario Party a "new concept" exactly?
Wait, what? Starfox doesn't have online? Is that correct? Get the FUCK out of here with that if true. Does it even have multiplayer?

I understand no Pokemon game this year, as they don't want to cannibalize sales of Yokai Watch. But I absolutely agree with your other points.
This exceeded every expectation I possibly had for how lame it could be.
Just
What were they thinking
I kinda want nintendo to go third party
I love that Nintendo is already doing damage control. They know they didn't meet expectations this year.

I get that it wasn't Nintendo's best, but there is some massive over-reaction going on. They showed 7 new games, 8 known games in the Digital Event. Granted, they may not be what we want, but there's decent content there. It's not like they came with nothing but casual games.
Pretty much how I feel. Plus, I believe everything they showed will be out by spring 2016My reaction as a huge Nintendo Fan for the past 18 years.
Star Fox
-Honestly loved it. My big take away was that this is a real Star Fox game and not some gimmicky episodic thing. With Platinum assisting I have no Doubt that it will be the greatest Star Fox since Star Fox 64. Easily the highlight of the conference.
Skylanders Reveal
-Cool, but not into amiibo/Skylanders
Zelda Triforce Heroes
-Kinda neat, looks like a more fleshed out Four Swords. ALBW was great so this could be good too.
Hyrule Warriors 3DS Port
-Have a 3DS, dont want to buy. Hopefully the Wind Waker characters come to the Wii U version as DLC
Metroid Prime Federation Force
-Almost insulting. Both Metroid Prime and Next Level games are better than this
Fire Emblem Fates
-Awesome footage and a much better name. Im excited.
Fire Emblem x SMT
-Cant find the Fire Emblem or the SMT. Cant tell what this is supposed to be.
Xenoblade X
-Japanese reception worries me, but the trailer was awesome
Animal Crossing Home Decoration
-Dont care
Animal Crossing Amiibo Party
-Dont Care
Yoshis Wooly World
-Looks cute, but its clearly finished and shouldve been released about 2 months ago
Paper x Mario and Luigi
-Cautiously optimistic, not sure what to think yet
Mario Tennis
-Meh
Mario Maker Montage
-Looks better than it originally did, but not that exciting
Overall I think a lot of these reactions are knee-jerkish. This definitely was better than 2008 and 2012, but overall was disappointing. Overall about a 6.5/10 on par with E3 2009 and better than their E3 2011 showing.
Was curious myself. Someone in this thread said that it is coming on arcades very soon so they couldn't show it at E3.Where is that Pokka fighting game?
Folks here really need to separate bad announcements from bad software lineups.
This was a bad announcement. Nintendo overplayed their hand in 2014 and paid the price for it this year by having to reiterate everything we already knew.
But after the 2014 Digital Event, I pre-ordered four games for the Wii U that all came in the back half of the year: Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, SSB, Captain Toad. All of them ranged from fairly good to stupendous.
After the 2015 Digital Event, I pre-ordered four games for the Wii U that are coming for the back half of this year: Super Mario Maker, Yoshi, Star Fox, Xenoblade. On the face of it, not that much weaker (and that's with skipping the Animal Crossing spin-off and probably Mario Tennis). Granted, last year we had MK8 DLC and the packed-in Bayonetta 1 to keep us company, but this year I know I'm not remotely done with Splatoon.
Admittedly, people not already on board with this console have no reason to get aboard now. But as someone who is a Wii U owner, I'm just not worried. I'll have more than enough to play.
Do things look bleak for 2016? Sure they do: really bleak. Zelda is likely to be bumped (now that we have a confirmation they'll talk NX next year) and SMTxFE, already very niche and divisive, isn't anywhere close to a western release. My Wii U calendar for the first half of 2016 is empty, whereas this year we at least had Kirby and Splatoon. We were told we'd hear about games up to "early" 2016 and there's nothing of interest there. But I'll worry about that when I'm through the backlog of everything out this year.
I'm disappointed they didn't mention Pokken Fighters for Wii U.
I think this whole E3 Hype and criticism has turned me off video games quite a bit.
Life was much better and happier before E3 because people didn't butt heads as much or whine about games we barely know much about.
It's really kind of sad this year especially.Nintendo deserves absolutely all of the negativity heading their way after how bad their show was. Hopefully they'll finally understand how out of fucking touch they are with their audience.
We finally get an HD nintendo console and they insist on throwing it in the garbage.
Yeah, it really hasn't changed. What has changed is how quickly information gets into people's hand.I'm 38 and remember people hyping/criticizing games based off of EGM and Nintendo Power screenshots. Gaming has always been like this, you just weren't paying attention.
Count me as a "Zelda simultaneous launch on NX' believer now.

I know, but E3 is just the worst time because so much things get announced and shut down without people giving it a chance.
No price drop? Damn I thought it was a foregone conclusion and was planning to finally buy a U this week
One of the worst E3 shows I've seen. Barely new content, and what they showed either looked dated (Star Fox) or not what I asked for (Metroid Federation Force, Animal Crossing Party).
This is really the last year of Wii U then.
I liked the paper x mario & luigi stuff. Looked fun. Starfox maybe has potential, and Mario Maker was awesome. Oh and yoshi is yoshi so thats all well in good. The rest was a little bland and the metroid prime thing was just a kick in the balls.
Oh mario tennis looked good too
TBF, it was around 50% new game reveals. Hardly barely.
