I was disappointed overall. Horizon looks fantastic. But TLG looks ps3 and when they wanted to pimp customers for 2 million...TACKY. oh, and no exclusives to show for 2015.

Once Uncharted slipped to 2016 lead times for AAA games made it inevitable that Sony would struggle to fill the hole with something of equal scope. The best that Sony could do was to plug the gap was an Uncharted collection.
At least with Horizon Sony has got a title that generating some buzz.

The rest of the year is packed and sony has released more exclusives then anyone in 2015. This holiday concern is the dumbest shit I've ever seen. Maybe bloodborne should have delayed till fall cause holidays.

Not the greatest conference of all time....but definitely the best one since '09. Honestly, this E3 can be topped. Not easily, but it can be topped.
1) We have the premise, or the beginnings of amazing games being made (TLG, FF7 etc...)
2) Gameplay of FF7 will be a huge huge reveal, the same for Shenmue, and TLG improvising visually/gameplay and showing off more areas over time.
3) Gran Turismo 7 and God of War 4 will both be graphical showpieces, and honestly, they hold a lot of weight and are very important for Sony to re-establish each of them as dominant franchises. Each of these game's last iterations have had underwhelming sales compared to previous entries, both have important releases coming, Sony won't show them until they impress.
4) Japanese/third party support still has exclusives in the works (Deep Down, Dissidia, Level 5, Sega) something like a new Phantasy Star Online, or Monster Hunter coming to consoles would be huge.
5) Grand Theft Auto 6 and a JRPG from Sony's will get huge reactions.

Sure, all we need is a few more stellar, ground-breaking games to be released and then left untouched for the better part of two decades despite the fans' pleas for sequels or remakes. E3 2040 is going to be dope.
So i decided to revisit this thread and seriously, page 68 onwards is ridiculously entertaining. Maybe the strain on the servers was causing delayed posting, but it's really funny to see the outpouring of disappointment over chibi FF juxtaposed with people losing their shit over FFVIIR on the same page

It can, but it won't. Announcements are spread across E3, Gamescom, TGS, PGW, PSX and more these days.
Your argument is invalid out of the gate.
When they actually showed code running on PS3, it was a laggy, jaggy low res game.
Everything else was always run on PC and/or tech demo status.

I don't know how the mods feel about this kind of thing or whether they frown on 'back-seat modding', but would it be out of turn to request that anyone touting the fucking "PS4 has no gaems!" line gets a temporary ban? It's so goddamn tired at this point and it infests every PS4 topic.

Also helps combat the idea being spread each time they're shamed and a post like yours proves them wrong.
They would avoid so much ridicule if they could just say what they actually mean. It's a subjective emotionally driven assessment of the library that, if presented as an opinion, would be easily dismissed as lacking universal application.
Agreed. But let's not pretend TLG looks like a technical marvel. It most certainly looks PS3ish in some aspects and I think it is okay people mention this.
Personally,however, I do not care. In this age of remasters, this game surely does not look totally out of place next to those polished older titles. Drake trilogy, MCColection, GoW3:R, BTS/HR ports, Dark Souls II:SotFS, Wind Waker HD etc. etc, also clearly show their earlier gen roots (or are likely to).
Consumers like new sexy graphics (me too, a lot actually), but it is not an absolute requirement. We get just that with Horizon, Uncharted and many other titles that were shown this e3. Moreover, the distinct artistic beauty of Team Ico is clearly there, which I value a lot.
I am sooooo glad this game is happening and that it really seems to aim for something different yet again, like Ico and SotC did (many) years ago.
Nah, I think it is the point of a discussion forum to present the facts and state clearly why you disagree. If you make a well rounded reply like this and the other poster cannot put the reason behing his/her "no games" notion into words, that poster looks ridiculous anyways. Goes in all directions as well, most consoles have a "no games" narrative period.
And in fact, for some people that statement does hold truth, depending on their taste, And here is nothing wrong with that either (but they should make their reasons clear and not let it be an empty oneliner).
For example, for me and my preferences the WiiU is quite barren and I sometimes post about that, but I acknowledge the console most certainly has a list of great and unique games to offer for a lot of people in this current marketspace.

Its all preference... asking for a ban because you disagree is pretty immature IMO. Personally. That list you put out does nothing to support what you're complaining about. No major scheduled 1st party releases during the holiday (November or December), several indie titles, and a couple of remakes. Hardly an inspiring list if you ask me.
Now with that said.... next year will be better.

I'm refuting the claim that the PS4 has no games for the second half of the year, and providing a list of 10 games coming out not available on other consoles which disproves that claim. Whether you like the games listed is not the point.
When people say this what they really mean is "why does Sony not have a game with the budget and calibre of Halo for this Christmas", which while true, is mostly a result of Sony releasing games throughout the year while MS generally likes to stack all its notable releases into two or three concurrent months. Why didn't we have topics at the beginning of the year saying "Why doesn't MS have anything for Spring?!" Why do we have this puzzling focus on pre-Christmas, and this strange desperation that Sony needs to release its biggest games at the busiest time of the gaming calendar?
When people add conditions and goal posts to things like that, you just know it's generally fanboy fodder. Games are games. You buy and play good one's, whether they're exclusive or not, irrespective of whether they're first, second or Bob's your uncle party. It's also amusing that these conditions change depending on the variables and times of year. For example, to some the rest of the year evidently is not as important….
The thing is, it's not, really. The people who spout the "PS4 has no games" BS more often than not make their posts sound like it's a fact, rather than their opinion, and are really doing it just for the reactions. Anyone who actually wants to just say their piece and maybe join the conversation would say something like "PS4's current (exclusive) lineup for this year/whatever has nothing that interests me"
That's what I'd say. The only games I'll be playing from triggerhappy's list are Persona 5 and ToZ, on PS3 and PC respectively. I sold my PS4 a couple of weeks ago cause the console has nothing to really offer to me right now.
But I'd never post anything as idiotic as "PS4 has no games".

Even by then, there are so many damn games they have that have a broad appeal I don't see it even being that great of an assessment.
