Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

Hey guys, I'm looking for a couple more people to join in on a PZ 4-pack ($29.99, works out to $7.50 per copy). The devs seem like good guys & apparently this price is about as low as its going to get until they're ready to work on a sequel in a couple years...so its as good a time as any to check the game out. If anyone is interested let me know!

Opinions (good or bad) on the game are always welcome too...there's still 14 hours to go for the discount.

Hey buddy, Ill jump in on the 4 pack with you!

Sounds good! That makes 3.

One more person out there interested? 8 or so hours to go for the sale price!

I think I'm going to cave in on the Valve Complete Pack. I don't think it'll get any cheaper than it is now. And seeing how all Valve games that got a Flash or Daily this summer (CS:GO, Portal 2, Left 4 Dead 2) got the exact same pricing as at the beginning of the sale, I don't think waiting will make sense. And besides, I need my Counter-Strike fix.

It's on my "last day list".

DMC franchise WTF, i bought DMC4 for $5 in 2010 a year of it's PC release, in 2015 it's $19.99, things are really rough with Capcom..

They're not discounting it because they probably want people to buy the Special Edition instead that comes out next week.

Well, shit, I guess the reward badge system works for them then. I've never gotten enough for that to be a viable strategy at all. My room would be able to skip like 3 levels.

Seems like if you're stuck in rooms where no one cares, you can never get ahead because the amount of badges you get depends on what everyone else does and if you don't get any badges you won't get any the next day either and so on. Great design Volvo.

How is Dead Rising 3. I've heard horror stories about the PC port. Has it gotten better?

And also what's the deal with Divinity and the enhanced edition. I believe I read if you buy Divinity now you'll get the enhanced edition for free?

I came in here to ask the same question. Can anyone comment on the current state of the DR3 port? Much appreciated!

How long does it usually take for steam to refund a purchase?
1-2 weeks. Less than a week from the confirmation they refund it. Although I don't know if it's slower during sales time because of all the other crap they got to manage and probably increased refund rate.

Just realized that Astebreed has been unlocked on the community game for a bigger sale tomorrow. Fantastic news - hoping for 90% off.

The monster deals so far weren't that great. Some got only 10 or 5% off, so don't put your hopes to high. But it's already awesome at that price and any increase of saving will do.

Is Rage worth double dipping when I already played through the game + DLC on PS3? Mouse aiming and less texture streaming hickups sound enticing...

Also, how many hours of content does Kentucky Route Zero provide in it's current form? It's still not complete, right?

It was/is on my last day list as well, but if CS:GO, Portal 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 are anything to go by, I'd say it won't get further discounted even if it gets a Daily or Flash.

It won't. It's never been more than 75% off... wwell, except for that one time it was 77% off, but the actual price was the same (USD$49.99), so it's a moot point.

Edit: I thought selling one of my old 670s on eBay would slightly increase my Summer Sale budget... but because my account doesn't meet the ridiculous criteria for instant payment, I won't receive the money for three weeks. Never again.

Really up to you on Rage. Did you like it enough to buy twice?

Only the first 3 acts are out for Kentucky Route Zero. The last two are due within this next year, so there site says. Probably just a couple hours as it stands.

Thanks! I didn't really get all the flak Rage was receiving and thought it was decent to good game, aside from the non-existing "ending". But you're right, I'd rather play it on PS3 again when I'll feel the need to do so.

Will hold off of KRZ then.

I already gave up the game when I saw those stats.I think it is not fair but at the end of the day they are unlocking the milestones (today's are already done).

I found that terribly dull and repetitive, even on co-op, but it's entirely possible I missed something.
I only played it in co-op, but I really think it picks up on Nightmare/Nightmare+.

It's true that it has the problem that on the normal (and even hard) difficulties you don't really need to play the game well or make use of the (pretty interesting and extensive) moveset to succeed.

More likely that it's because all 1000 players in that room are all running scripts doing 500 clicks per second.
The game doesn't register more than around 20 clicks a second.

It isn't just wormhole that can skip levels. I check the item log in my room and no wormholes are used but levels xxxx1-xxxx9 are still done in a few seconds.

So I put it down to damage being calculated once per second and the sever handling overspill a lot better now.

Does for CS:GO usually go any cheaper than 50%? I want to jump on it, but obviously I'd rather wait for it to be a daily if it's going to go any cheaper.

Everyone needs to buy Spelunky and Dust. They are absolute steal at that price. Some of the best indie games ever made.

Spelunky is mind blowing rogue like platformer and Dust is as good of a metroidvania as you can find on Steam. Seriously pick them up if you don't have them. You won't regret it.

I wouldn't bet on it. The game has issues with cheaters and smurfs in matchmaking, so cheap copies are just excuses for alt accounts.

Wow the deals are shitty this year. Half the crap on the front page was cheaper last year and most packages haven't even been adjusted, like DMC.

It's been stuck at $7.5 for the last couple of sales - I don't imagine it ever getting cheaper unless there's a new competition on the market.

I was looking to pick up a few bits of Mafia 2 DLC that I didn't have and I was wondering, is the Betrayal Of Jimmy still not available on PC around the world ? It looks like you can get it in a few eastern european countries but that's it, you can't get it in the UK I know that much. Just surprised it's one of those DLCs that never seemed to get a wider release.

You'll have to get it from a trader or track down a physical copy of the director's cut, but that's rather expensive if you're just after Betrayal. No idea what the reason is behind then regional exclusivity is though.
