Im surprised his answer wasn't "bad reviews", but is that even true? Bad reviews dont mean poor sales. Id like to think the market would correct itself. In theory, everyone burned by games like AC unity and battlefield would avoid them in the future, but thats not the case.

Your general consumer is far more concerned with playing the game series they enjoy than they are paying attention to who is making the game and realizing what that studio has done historically.

If games like Assassin's Creed stop getting made, it won't be because consumers realized that the developer has no problem releasing a broken game, it'll be because Ubisoft saturated the market with Assassin's Creed games so much that the public will just be tired of them trotting out what is essentially the same game over and over.

This is what I got from that as well. He definitely just seemed willing to let that be a more fun segmant. Plus the whole Firewatch thing will probably forever continue as a joke at this point. I think most people get that it's like gone home but maybe a little more game.

I think he was going to have a nice normal segment but then when Gaynor crashed the segment he transitioned well to "Let's just let it fly."

My wife, who doesn't know the Idle thumbs guys: "Those guys (Steve and Sean) make a REALLY cute couple." Made me laugh, and...yeah pretty much.
