I would really like it if Limit breaks became their own command instead of replacing attack so I could do limit-less runs if I wish.
There's no way they're gonna put random encounters in a full-budget AAA game coming out in 2017.
When?
And I love this game but honestly, FFVII is braindead easy.

When you mod a game specifically to make it harder, any game can suddenly have depth and strategy to it.
They should. It would make the game different from everything else on consoles.
Cleaner looking field kinda appeal me tbhIt would also scare off a massive part of its potential audience.
Why do some people want random encounters anyway? It's an old mechanic that came up because of technical limitations. How does it make a game more fun than visible encounters or same-screen seamless transitions to battles?
So who's preordered this so far? I just put it on my list for the E3 deals since the discount is really good.
A few options would make everybody happy without causing too much effort for Square:
- Option for new battle system or old-school ATB

Waiting for limited editions. Maybe a Sephiroth vs Cloud koto statue inspired figure? So who's preordered this so far? I just put it on my list for the E3 deals since the discount is really good.
You can always cancel since you don't get charged till they actually ship.I don't even know if it's good yet!
Amazon.ca has it up! There's a bunch of E3 preorders up with a deal attached depending on how many you order.Preorders are already up ? Where ?

I'm calling it now - they're going to add an ultra-mega super boss
DIAMOND WEAPON

Enix games are equally if not more important given current sales Dragon Quest IX outsold almost all FF titles last gen combined, the spin offs do amazing, and even the MMO is going strong.
Enix isnt the issue with Square Enix, and this comes from some one who dislikes the Enix out put.
How much do you think LR, XIII-2, Dissidia/012, XIV, and Crisis Core sold exactly? The only one that sold well was XIII and it did it mostly off hype and was slashed in price very fast.Er, I don't think this is true at all.
I'd be okay with the way that battles take place on the field screen and the way you control your positioning. I didn't mind Gambits at all in FFXII and I actually liked tweaking them (and the fact that you can still issue all of the commands yourself if you so choose), but I don't think they'd work for FFVII and abilities granted by Materia. Maybe make it so that if a character's ATB bar has been full for ten seconds and the player hasn't done anything with them, they'll pick their own move (and allow players to make this interval anywhere between 1 second and NEVER EVER), but I'd want the preferred default to be issuing commands to your entire party.

I preordered mine on Amazon today
Whoa I totally forgot that existed - it's been a while! You mean the boss you fight that attacks Midgar and that the Sister Ray destroys?

I remember emerald, ruby and omega lol
What's amazing is this game is clearly a reality because of an idea born and sustained on forums, and in all likelihood, originated right here at CrystalBallGaf.

A better translation and graphics is all the remake needs. Changing too much will kill the nostalgia buzz.
How?The port will give you both.
How?
I thought the port is just the original on ps4.

It'll be in HD, albeit still the original game through and through.
And, Kagari's heard that there's a new translation en route for it, and that's the reason for the hold-up.
I refuse to believe there are people that got that part right.
There's no way this isn't an insane amount of effort, you'll get the game at 2025 if they do this.
I feel like this would be a highly expensive proposition under most sets of circumstances.
Ah. Still, it's a little silly to say that should be what people go to if they want the original cleaned up because that's not what they asked for. They wanted VII completely redone with proper consistent designs, towns rebuilt in HD and to re-experience the game with all of that, not a completely different feeling game with things cut and battle system completely changed(though of course there's no confirmation of that) so that it's made to play differently.
Random encounters are garbage in every game except Pokemon.
