If you mean optimization for those running medium to low rigs, no, I don't believe so. (I wouldn't be one to be able to answer that)
They did add in all the proper resolution settings though, in addition to the AA and stuff that was already there.

Yes it is. Lightning Returns is a bad looking game. Game was still fun though
It's definitely the one that would benefit the most from the PC port too!
I wouldn't call it bad looking ,but its very uneven.
I think it has great looking enemies and battle effects though.

Its the one that needs it the most, considering the dire framerate situation on the console versions.

No date, sure. But the original idea was: "Shortly after 13, you get 13-2, and then after that you get 13-3 a month or two later."
That kinda bombed after the bad performance of the first two.
Did they improve anything in the previous games? Heard they are just straight ports.
They're straight ports, but they still run better than the console versions, and at higher resolutions. They have major framepacing issues, but it should be possible to run both FF13 and FF13-2 PC at 30 FPS at 4K with no issues. FF13 on PS3 may have been close to 30 FPS most of the time, but 13-2 definitely had major issues. Either way, you're looking at an improvement over the originals.

Pretty much. Can be played at a higher resolution and framerate, but it's the same game.

LR's pariah status is the biggest nonsense in hardcore gaming circles.
It just has rough spots. That dog just happens to be the worst offender.

Very wishful thinking, but it's not impossible.
There really isn't any reason for it to be DX11. Or even to have complex graphics settings.
It just needs to be not completely fucked in the framepacing department and we're golden.

Im also looking forward to it. I loved Lightning, was disappointed she isnt in XIII-2 (i kinda gave up on that due to the lack of Lightning actually)...so im down for LR PC

Huh, actually I am. I got rid of my X360 last Christmas because the only games I didn't have on my PC were these. So yeah, I can't wait for LR to be released and add it back to my library of games.
And I'm also looking forward to replaying it on Hard mode, I didn't have enough time to do the second run last year.
