I was hoping the Arkham Knight OT would be up by now, but has anyone got their GMG codes yet?
Does Ephemeris remember they volunteered 15 months ago?I was hoping the Arkham Knight OT would be up by now, but has anyone got their GMG codes yet?
I didn't find it on PS4. It still has a countdown. I double checked the store, library, restored licenses, and then looked to see if it was downloading in the background. Nothing was pre-loading.
The Joker is dead but I hope there's still a sequence where the Batmobile loses a wheel and a villain gets away.

I prefer Mario Kart and Arcade racers to sim racers. If the handling/physics is fast, loose and forgiving, I probably won't dislike it too much. If running over enemies is easy and plentiful, I may even enjoy it.
I have many questions. 1. How big is the map? 2. Did they take and build on Origin's detective mode/crime scene investigation? 3. How would you judge the voice acting and writing so far?
It is the furthest thing from a sim racer you can get. No worries.
The map is big. Way bigger than AC, but not just wider, also really tall. You will have to link together multiple grapples to get to the highest point.
You can tell that they definitely did not forget about Origins when it comes to the detective mode. They take what worked and expand upon it.
The voice acting is serviceable. It is on par with AC. (from what I have heard so far)
For real. TAS had some legit sad moments around some of the villain stories. So great.
can we get some more gifs in here? games looks stunning, I guess the framerate issues early on have been ironed out completely
Do you remember the one with killer croc and babyface? sad one.
I don't recall who babyface is. I'll have to look it up.
OTs go up 24 hours before release now.
Sounds like the batmobile combat. You constantly fight the same drone tanks over and over (one of the reviews claims one section has you taking on 40-50 of them). The game does eventually introduce a new tank unit but those are even worst because you have to use "car stealth" to sneak behind to the rear weak point -- if you are spotted it pretty much one shots you. Also the Fire Fly chases are terrible.
Another classic review from him lol. He needs a podcast...
Has any of the reviews commented on the Xbox One's version resolution and frame rate?
WHAT
What the fuck were they thinking.

What video is that from?
If the map is bigger, both vertically and horizontally, my question is is there actually content to make it worthwhile? AO was 2 to 3x bigger than AC, but had like a quarter of the content. One of my few complaints with AO.
Getting this game almost entirely because of the graphics.
I usually find myself agreeing with K. Van Ord than most reviewers, I'm holding my buy until a sale.
I have the feeling some reviewers are over selling this game, not because some secret agenda... just because it is a flashy sellable concept most likely will be popular.
That looks... Incredible. Witcher 3, your open world graphics crown was short lived indeed lol.
Vast amounts of constantly moving vegetation during a 24hr day/night cycle with proper dynamic weather > static buildings with no dynamic weather or day/night cycle

Wait, so its rain 247 and endless night......the fuck?

The Arkham games all take place over the course of one night.I hope not.. rain has to stop sometime.
Can't really answer that fairly now. Since I'm still only a couple hours into it. But yeah, it seems to have as much stuff spread throughout the city like in AC. Also there is tons of easters eggs/nods to characters and locations from the comics. Also, the riddler stuff is SO FREAKING GOOD this time around and also spread out across the world. I have done some really cool puzzles so far.
Ahhh...Okay? lol.
Let's not jump to conclusions just yet. Game does look incredible.. but we have to *play* it first instead of looking at animated GIFs.. Kapesh?
This is a fair justification that I didn't think of.^
Not to mention Batman generally only operates at night.
And while I think the point about graphics differences are right, this is a great point. The fact that batman run at a consistent framerate makes it a better achievement. How can The Witcher 3 be impressive when it's running at 20 FPS on the same hardware?

Spring Loaded, I thought you liked the Batmobile. What happened?
