Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

lol so no in-game announcement about why all the splatfest stuff just disappeared a day before it was going to happen

Bluefin Depot is probably the worst map in the game, in turf war there is far too much grating and unpaintable areas which really limits the stage. Whoever thought splatzones on this map with only 1 zone was a good idea needs to be fired. This is the most deserving map for 2 zones and for some reason its 1 zone only.

I don't like Bluefin's offset Splatzone, the map is symmetrical about a 180 degree rotation so the path is different depending on which side you start

One zone??? Wow, that's disappointing.

For real though, Nintendo needs to up the friend list limit like yesterday.

Trying so hard to add you all but my list is full of folks I still see in other games/Splatoon at current. :(

It's below about three sniper perches too, and is pretty cramped so it's hard to get out of roller splat range

Yep

I guess on theory one could take the long non zone path and try and flank, but you'd then instantly get picked off by the respawning players.

The level too heavily favors chargers without any real way of dealing with them or getting behind them

I just knew that chargers were going to be a problem but holy shit at this right here. I can already tell I'm going to hate Inkbrushing on this stage. :(

I know I'm a few days late on this, but I've been really busy with other stuff this week and only just managed to get on for a few rounds, so...

...Is it just me or is the L-3 Nozzlenose complete hot garbage? I feel like the fact that it guaranteed takes more than one burst-fire to splat an enemy makes it completely combat-inefficient compared to nearly every other weapon available. For the same general range you can use a splattershot or squelcher and secure a kill in roughly the same or less time, and with less of a need for pinpoint accuracy. This gun and its loadout really piqued my interest when it was announced (for some reason I really want a weapon with disruptors), but it feels like it has no real strengths at all.

Also I guess this is unplayable to me with randoms at this time of day. Rooms full of laggy Japanese krak-on rollers. This feels like the second circle of hell.

I'm afraid to join GAF rooms because I know I'll get destroyed even worse than with the lag-rollers

Nozzlenose is garbage at laying ink but with the right hands you can splat everyone left and right. Definitely relies on the sub weapon more than other loadouts imo.

If the nozzle killed in one shot it'd be mind numbingly stupid given how fast and accurate it is. Nothing even comes remotely close on those two axis without tanking in damage like the splashomatic.

And it's very ink efficient to boot. Fantastic for grate walkway shootouts.

Not a fan of this new map at all. Maybe it's because I've now lost 11 straight on this map, even though I've ended up with at least 1100 points each game. Teams I'm being put on are just terrible. Last round, a guy with the sniper thing managed to earn a total of 68 points. S/he died 11 times. Killed one person. Awesome.

Just....awesome.

Can I just say I really hate this four hour window thing. I'd give anything for them to remove it. I don't see the rationale behind it at all.
