Also yesterday a Japanese roller hit me with the roller splash through the containers in port mackerel

Yeah, it's lag. Somehow you got hit once before. With the cobtainer, on their end, they still see you before you retreated, so they're swinging at "you." It just means that the upload speed and ping between you guys sucked hard. That's how I get hit by Violet's Remote Bomb sniping. =D

Will I keep recovering my HP if I stand under my Splash Wall?

Don't have the link right now, but someone on Squidboards I believe did a study. You recover 100hp/s when submerged in your own ink and 12.5hp/s just standing. I don't think the splash wall changes that but maybe it does.

Does that take into account whenever you're hit while traveling in your own ink? It always feels like you need more time than that to trigger the healing factor unless you kid then squid again and even then there's still the downtime between the form changing to consider.

I believe he said there's a 1s delay after leaving enemy ink before recovery starts to happen. So perhaps being hit actually means you're standing on enemy ink so that delays recovery.

I had to take a moment from reading it in the first paragraph to read the article about best gun ever and I love this line:

I would suggest changing weapons. Time off the charger may get you back on your game faster than trying to force yourself. I recommend the roller, you don't have to be as precise with your aiming.

something I learned the hard way today, however, is that lag makes the blaster way more difficult to use. When I encounter a Japanese player, the best thing I can hope for is a double splat. At worst, they take three direct hits in a row and still keep going and don't even have the decency to splat after a few seconds

You now know how I feel every time I play against GAF.

There are only three people on GAF I hate whiffing shots against.

- SM239 because he is a shark in the kiddie pool and those shots might as well be blood in the water for him
- Walkman because he has a good sixth sense about finding the hidden (or patience enough to wait for you to out yourself)
- BlueSilver because getting killed by a barrage of splat bombs when you've gotten used to Snipers being weak in CQC really hurts your morale. :lol

No need to apologize, it was actually only one match that there was a lot of lag. Every other match was fine.

I just thought someone else from your household used the Internet or something.
