This is great news. Something that should be common sense but isn't finally won out. I sure am glad I'm not working where I used to, would've had a lot of shit to hear today.

Damn. Loving these pictures, keep them coming!

Does it affect me, or how I live my life?
No.
Does it affect how I take care of my family?
No.
Will it bring harm to innocets?
No.
Will it bring happiness to others and improve their quality of life?
Yes.

Hmm...yeah, I'm ok with this.

Congrats to those who will benefit from this ruling.
If only we asked ourselves these questions and truthfully answered them more often.

Wow listening to this radio station is terrible. So now their argument is that we shouldn't trust the Supreme Court? But it's ok when it works for them? I've never heard democrats question the system when things don't go their way but all these bigots do is point fingers.

"6,000 years of history tells us one thing and then 5 justices tell us something different."

No, for one thing the majority of people support marriage equality. And for another, "that's the way we've always done it" is the WRONG answer.

Gay marriage has come to America thanks to Ohio, BTW. Today's decision came on a case brought by an Ohioan, James Obergefell. The case's name is "OBERGEFELL, ET AL. v. HODGES, DIRECTOR, OHIO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, ET AL."

The people against gay marriage who brought the state constitutional amendment to Ohio voters in 2004 that banned gay marriage actually caused the eventual legalization of gay marriage for the entire nation. Irony!

Frankly, I'm disappointed in..... how terrible that case name will be to repeat.

But Texas is a terrible hellhole full of horrible Southern people that should secede!
Texas is gay cowboy central. Not to mention our major metropolitan areas are liberal havens, or should I say, gayvens!

It's really the bumblefuck-nowhere areas that are conservative areas. If it weren't for all the gerrymandering, this would be a swing state if not fully blue.

If I may ask ... wtfhow?

Without derailing the thread, it's because my new daughter is on Medicaid. Since she's on what is considered public assistance they go after the father for support.

Something in their system is fucked up and they won't fix it. So for it to go away I have to take her off Medicaid. (Luckily I have private insurance too)

I love the taste of salty conservatives tears in the morning to start a good say.

There's nothing like it.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! Really happy for all of you wich have waited too long for this. Really happy for you all.

Now Mexico, got your shit together and do the same!! Fuck whatever the catholic church tantrums make.

Oh man, this guy calling on sounds like he's out of breath? And he thinks we're going to get worse as a society?

Hes actually my congressman. Met him a few times. Decent person, but I don't agree with his politics. His district is pretty "safe" too. I don't know why he is catering to the far right.

6000 years of history? I hear the whole gay thing was all the rage back in the formative years of western thinking.

Or are they on the biblical timeline?

Christian, here. Putting an advance apology for the Christians that abandon love and acceptance that's literally the core of the religion.

I'm always scared for the future of Christianity when posts like that Twitter one pop up.

In a world where actual evil is committed around the clock, gay marriage is the doomsday trigger for folks.

Personally, i'm fucking outraged about gay marriage being legal

i was promised fire, brimstone and rainbow dragons. I was in favour all along as I was promised i'd get my own

I am so disappointed right now.

In my alternate reality, time-travel fantasy, its like that picture of Marty's family in BTTF that is fading away as the roots of his family struggle to take root - those 4 are slowly fading out of reality because someone in their lineage chose to get gay married instead.

This is the truth. Tom DeLay destroyed the voice of the Texas voter.
