We don't God does and in various forms most people claiming to be christian aren't.
You kill gays or anyone not really a christian at very least you're not too serious about commandements. What about loving people for who they are faults and all. What about not opressing them? God or Jesus didn't really play semantics on the subjects I spoke about. All these things god commands christians of all types not to do yet a day like this show most of his supposed faithful aren't anything but just more talk from people with real nasty human traits that will get swept under the rug cause its too uncomfortable to have that discussion for most in culture society. Religion is a scapegoat when it's a symptom, our humanity good/bad and how we choose to use our humanity on others should always be the discussion.

You're preaching to the choir and I've said that tons of times why religion shouldn't be undersestimated by those wielding it.
Sadly the scheme is a business and social control mechanism that most people don't want to see it is for what it is. I say this again religion is not true spirituality and never has been it's shortcut to a journey and self process that has no shortcuts and often misleads people or worse incites them or justifies the incitement to any degree.

The US is definitely undergoing a progressive gear-shift. It's a pity Australia is moving backwards on social issues. I think watching The Killing Season would be unbearable for me--witnessing the ALP self-destruct and hand over the reigns of the country to Tony Abbott in detail might be classified as a horror film.

I have known a few over the years, and even counted some among my friends. This decision has little personal impact on my life. But this isn't about me or what I want/believe/care about. This is about what's right. The decision to legalize gay marriage is RIGHT.
