It's not so much the religion it's the way they're interpreting information and the way they're handling and/or executing it. Because of this there's like multiple versions of God depending on who you ask. :/

It's also a commonly-spread thought that God loves everything but, supposedly somehow hates gay people. I'm sure that's not the only contradiction.
 
I saw some angry groups on the local news, people just need to move on, nothing more to see or do.

Maybe no one is taking it that way. Seen maybe as just as a hostile, anti-christian/religious move. Probably jumped the gun there.
 
America is such a weird country at times. When it was legalised in the UK there was some moaning etc, mainly from the Church but nowhere, nowhere nearly as bad, offensive, dumb and ignorant as what I've seen emanating from the US. Yet, at other times it's fucking hilarious!

I could be wrong, but from his name he seems Jewish. Why would he lecture people on what Christians should or shouldn't be ?

Religion isn't as strong here in the UK.

The cold weather and lack of sunny days has made us a godless country.
 
I can't believe people want their laws dictated by their holy book rather than their goverment.

And these same people being fucking afraid of Sharia

Its kind of understandable considering the bible portrays god as a guy with many personalities ranging from benevolent to murderous, but at the same time it says he never changes and is always the same forever.

Same people who want their laws based on a book, want to destroy other religions who want the same thing.

It's all about money and has nothing to do with religion


The best part about all of this? All of the republican candidates, if ONE of them stood up and said they were not spewing the same bullshit as the others, they'd have a legit chance in 2016.

I mean like. For those of us that believe in a God, though not necessarily the version that's depicted in just the bible and what a bunch of guys in robes (popes and pastors and such) say about him.

If God created everything, why would He/it hate gay people? Why would He/it hate anything if he created everything?

So I just chose to believe my own interpretations of God based on evidence. He/it created everything, thus He/it loves everything, otherwise why would He/it have created them? No exceptions.

Literally everything has a reason for existence, even if it may not be obvious or it may not seem distinctly positive.

I realize this post might come off as idiotic or senseless to some people, and I apologize for that. It's just how I feel. Today's news makes me happy because it means more people in the world can be happy. That, to me, seems like something God would want to have.

Here comes the hatemail in 3...2...1...
