Damn, never though some Americans (from twitter comment) are that bad. I think I'm glad I live in EU.

I haven't really been paying attention. I didn't realize that this was even a possibility, considering how hard people had to fight for it. I personally think it's fantastic news, and I'm happy to know that people in power can actually enact a change of this magnitude.
 
At first I was enjoying the salt, but eventually it started to make me really annoyed

Btw can anyone rainbowfy my avatar? If possible maybe even just make it so that the wireframe character is rainbowfied
 
Didn't a ton of states already allow same sex marriage? why is this such a big thing for opponents that it forces a few states to come into line? Why weren't they lambasting those enabling states all the time before?

Because the position is state's rights, and if they attacked other states, they would look like hypocrites.

I get so confused about state vs federal. How on earth do you properly draw the line on what should be state determined compared to what should be a nationwide law/right?

They were lambasting those enabling states the entire time, but since they needed the convenient narrative of "states rights", they couldn't go all in.

I'm really surprised by how many people on my Facebook feed view this as a bad thing and saying that it's because that's not what God intended. Even people I grew up with, people that I have respected all my life say stuff like "I love everyone, but I support God's definition of marriage. You can change the laws, but you can't change His word."

Anyway, it's been a wonderful day. Congratulations to all!

Yeah, but you put more effort into yours and covered the fact that this is really nothing more than the best excuse they have to be bigoted :)
 
My little brother, well, hes 37 and im well, older ... is one of those people. Brainwashed by his wifes family, listens to rush limbaugh every day, doesnt miss a minute of fox news, born again, rapture, earth is only 6k, god will strike us all down etc ...

He had the saltiest tears of them all.
