I hope that new NeoGAF logo sticks around for a while, I like it.

I'd love if someone could rainbowify my avatar as well.
 
After seeing all the rainbow avatars I kind of want one.

But I can't even remember what my avatar is, or if it would be possible to rainborise.
 
I'm not one for messing with my Avatar. Gray bear cub for life.

I'd rather have a rainbowified mobile gaf. Is there any way to make this happen, mods/admins? I want to party with the rest of gaf. :D

Before this wonderful news happened, I talked to my conservative mother about gay marriage (knowing that she is super against it).

Well actually, she was anti-Gay Marriage, anti-GMOs, anti-Flouride, and thought glucose was bad for people. Took nearly 7 hours, but I managed to tackle them all.

Im with you guys. As a Christian and still somewhat conservative, there are things I agree with the conservatives on but this is one issue where they can get screwed.
For all the talk of following what God wants, a lot of people sleep around, cheat, swindle, steal, divorce, use other people, and lie about all of it and then hide behind "well God forgives us". Oh but he doesnt "forgive" people who are just being who they are from birth? Its probably as aggravating as a lot of peaceful muslims feel when they hear about ISIS every day doing shit in their name.
It seems so simple. Just love and respect other people no matter what, but apparently thats just too much for some. I mean like even in the straight community, there are tons of kinky messed up things people are into that are way worse than simple sodomy.
Its all just stupid and frustrating. And Im not even gay. I dont even know the day to day struggle people go through. I just see this from the outside, from friends and relatives. So maybe my own Christian brothers and sisters want to disown me for accepting everyone, but thats how I choose to live my life. And I think God really wants just that from us.

Trick is in the layers

You use the lasso to contour the hair, greyscale, convert selection to a new layer, paste in the rainbow, fuck around with transparency and vibrancy.

That way you keep the texture of the hair but don't have the colours blending :)
 
I'm kind of glad this became an avatar edit thread (maybe someone can post an official one?), but I am missing all the salt.

The salty tears. They are delicious.

Without sounding too sappy, I really do appreciate the work the mods and admins do around here to keep this place a peaceful little island of tolerance in the middle of a big, noisy, hateful internet ocean. It's a testament to this community and its shepherds that when I wander over to Reddit or some other gaming site or something and see all the racist / sexist / homophobic / transphobic / etc. comments, it genuinely shocks me now instead of being "just how the internet is."

As someone who has basically grown up with gaming forums as a significant social outlet I don't think it's possible to understate how unique GAF really is.

Seriously though i'm quite new to GAF and i'm consistently amazed by how tolerant and accepting it is.

never thought of greyscaling first. That would probably work better than what i do.

I just use a new layer, lasso, colour in a rainbow, and set it to soft light or a setting that still shows the shadowing and details of the background.

I should try greyscaling next time, thanks :)

I don't understand bigots. How can you actually have the opinions that they have? I mean, how is it actually possible? How long until they step back and think: "hang on, I'm an ass!"
