I find amusing how people in Panama are angry because the gay marriage was accepted in the US, and that our capital major allowed a LGBT parade in the city. But at the same time, it is kind of sad watching how backward this country is.

these people need to be educated, and not ridiculed.... it is much harder road but eventually it will pay off. Many, many, many people changed their opinions in the last 20 years according to statistics and there is no reason that many more wont in the next 5 years.

But when you ridicule them and humiliate them, it makes it personal and they will fight ever more against common sense.
 
Is it possible for people to disagree with this decision without getting banned? Obviously there are posters who disagree with this verdict so I wondered if they have a chance to get out their frustrations.

based on my experience, in 3-5 years nobody will care about parade anymore and many more people will be receptive to the idea of LBGT.
 
Im happy that this got confirmed by the SCOTUS, but didnt really care either way. I must say, its pretty sad all the posts about drinking rage tears, you really arent any better than the people you're shitting on.

Do you hear yourself? I'm tired of posting this argument, but you understand that the people whose tears we're drinking are people who've tangibly acted against the LGBT community (either via legislation or worse), right?

You're saying that laughing/ridiculing them using nothing but words is somehow EQUIVALENT to actually, IN REAL LIFE making millions of people in America miserable for god knows how many years?

it might be funny but it is not good for LBGT community, it deepens the divide. And these people who get even more angry might end up one day channeling that anger towards towards someone they meet and interact in real life.

Few years after this, significant number will realize that this decision did not influence their life at all while it meant a world to many other people and helped them.

At my age this ruling won't have much of an effect on me , but my grandkids won't get to live in the Christian atmosphere that I have enjoyed. They will see the end of the United States as we know it and will grow up in chaos surrounded by mentally ill people who try to change their sex and homosexuals who turn to pedophilia to satisfy their raging lust and out of control desires. The issue was never Equal Rights for gays. It was always for superior rights of gays to force homosexuality on the masses and have legal power to oppress any who will not conform. Bakeries and florist who stand by Biblical values are just the beginning targets of attacks. The discrimination has always been against those who have Biblical faith and the attack has always been from the gays who are Bible Phobic. The gays want to force people to deny the One true God and serve other gods. A Pastor can not preform a gay marriage without denying the one true God and serving Satan by performing a gay marriage. Now day care centers will not be able to refuse to hire pedophiles and sec offenders who claim GayRights.

Nah, the bigots fighting to deny basic freedoms from an entire group of their fellow citizens are far worse. The people posting public outrage and predicting the end times because loving couples are able to marry in all 50 states are far worse. I'm much better than them.

But they can't do anything about the ruling. This wasn't a law that can be overturned. The gay part of rich, white and gay doesn't matter anymore. Single issue voters will move on and vote for their best interest now.
 
As a Christian, I just want to apologize for how long we as a church have striven to delayed equal rights. Seems the message of love was forgotten, and seems the separation of church and state was ignored. I'm glad for everyone who can now have their love recognized by the state.

July 4th is coming up. My family is, generally, super bigoted. Can't wait for that shit.
