Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

Been in the A's for a while and there's at least one Dynamo every few games for me. Curse the games where there happens to be more than one on a team. I don't usually stick around after the games been had, though. I like to back out and look for a new lobby. If you happen to do that too... Well, then! I think the only thing left to do is trade locations because I'd rather not play with them anymore. Aha.

I agree with that there's a Dynamo at least in every few games, but that's far rarer than something like the .96 gal (which clearly needs a nerf /s).

I edited to add this part: The best weapon concept doesn't and will never exist, but the best composition of 4 weapons will probably surface.

The weapon I choose will depend on the team I'm facing. If a meta develops and you start seeing teams using the same formula, then you know so you can tailor a strategy against that particular setup beforehand because the likelihood of facing it is very high. However in random matchmaking, you can potentially face any combination of weapons. It's a huge difference.

What you're saying sounds more like a MOBA thing where every character plays quite differently. I personally think that there will be role compositions in teams but never defined weapons because a couple of them could adequately fill the same role. Best weapon concept is certainly possible given how many complaints there has been against the Dynamo Rollers. I'd figure I'd see more people use them since it sounds like the secret is out.

I actually don't see the .96 all that often funnily enough.
And, I honestly don't even know how you'd nerf some of these weapons without making them useless. The .96 and Dynamo are just annoying weapons to run into. But, tweak them at all and they lose the one thing they have going for them. On paper they're balanced. It's the latency that makes them seem unfair. When you actually use these weapons for a few rounds you're like, "If that was me I'd be dead!" And, shit like that. Aha.

You can never seem to get close enough to the Dynamo to kill it without at the very least trading. And, in the case of the .96 it always feels like it kills you in one hit.

There's a clear increase in people using high rate of fire weapons at higher ranks -- I think they're typically better than low rate of fire weapons, so it makes sense to me

Yeah, I played .96 in ranked for a little while, but then moved on to Dual Squelcher. It just seemed to take way to long to capture the zone with .96.
I still try to make charger life hard even though I don't have as much killing power though.

Pretty much. I've also noticed a trend with range superceeding everything else nowadays. There's a ton of Squelchers and Splattershots/Pros hanging around B/B+ rank now. Brush life going to have to take a pause for a bit while I figure this out.
 
FINALLY got to level 20. I don't know how people hit it in a weekend. Even with nearly 100k in cash, I still can't buy all the backlogged weapons. And damn Spike, I was hoping you'd give me a free seashell for my accomplishment. YOU'RE SO USELESS.

I just recommend anyone who hits level 10 to go into ranked, get so many points and money from it compared to turf war

It just makes playing Splatoon feel that much more better, though.. I'm sure! If you feel like you can play it any time then it's not as special!

Yeah like an MMO 5-man dungeon. You always have one tank, a healer and 3 damage dealers. The roles will be preset, but the class (weapon) you use to fullfil that role will depend on your preference.

Regarding .96 whether it's OP, I think the insanely slow fire rate balances things out. I have to connect two shots and that is very hard to do against a moving, lagging opponent. You don't want a head to head duel against me, movement and being sneaky is the best counter, but that's why I have the echolocator xD

Choose a Splatfest team to get a Splatfest T-shirt that shows all the other Inklings which side you're on. You'll have to give it back once the Splatfest concludes, but it comes with three empty slots, so do what you can to earn Gear Abilities for your new shirt before the event goes live! You’ll wear that T-shirt whenever you participate in a Splatfest battle, too.

lol jumped off the map twice on Bluefin.

Last night I was playing an amazing game of Bluefin going into enemy territory multiple times without being splatted, and in the last 10 seconds I accidentally jump into the water in front of like two members of the enemy team. So embarrassing :(
 
This is a slightly random question, and it's regarding weapons: The last update that rolled out with weapons (The Roller and other weapon (Name escapes me right now), I only have the Roller, despite two weapons being available. How do I get the 2nd weapon; is it all about level (I'm 17 FWIW)?

Oh dont tell me, I played against GAF room filled with custom dual squelchers, my inkbrush was in pain :(

The other weapon they unlocked in the latest update was custom dual squelcher I believe. I can't find anything regarding level requirements for CDS but regular DS unlocks at 16, so I would assume CDS unlocks at level 16 or higher.

Yeah the new weapons are still locked behind levels. Like the standard dual squelcher isn't unlocked until level 16, so the new custom one wouldn't be unlocked until some point after that.
