Tekken 7 really should have come out end of this year.
But, I'm gonna guess Tekken 7 might be going balls out with story mode to attract more casual players that might have liked Tekken in the past. If Tekken 7 console comes out with shit story mode and other extra modes it's clear the delay was to please arcade operators.

How was the soldering? I have read that DS4 padhacks are difficult.

I actually used an MKX pad, I should have clarified. Took me a while to find a diagram for it on SRK but once I found that it was easy. Only issue is that I had to drill a hole in the cord case and wire a 24mm Sanwa button in there since I couldn't get Home/PS button working when I wired it into the top panel.
Then I put it in PS4 mode and snipped off the switch so it couldn't swap back to PS3 mode and that was it.
EDIT: I should add that it's also much easier cause it's the only pad in there. It's a pain in the ass to do a dual mod with it.

I actually bought it from Chavelo lol. But it's just a regular TE Round 2 with a black top panel from Art's site and black buttons, balltop, and shaft cover.
It's so unbelievably terrible right now.

Oh, it's a PS3 TE Round 2, not a TE 2. I'm not a fan of the TE2, personally.
I would have preferred a TE-S (flat sides) but you can buy the side panels separately so I'll just keep an eye out for them.

1st and 2nd story arcs are the best anyway. Tired of these fucking 89ers and their stands and shit.
I've had too many conversations in real life where people start pointing out normal everyday things on the street and start saying that that was inspired by jojo unironically. I'm afraid to even say I like it to people because the last few times I said it they just shouted WRRRYYY or some other anime phrase in public.
I respect your opinion, I can see why you would be turned off from the series with the introduction of stands.

Yeah, if Madcatz doesn't drop it by $50 or so for Evo, I am just going to get a HRAP4. A guy at my locals had one, and I thought the buttons felt just fine. If they get on my nerves, I will buy Sanwas and swap them out. I have liked my HRAP3 a lot.

Okay definitely leaning towards new Brazillian character now, but it's still striking how similar the face is to existing ones in SF4.
I'm just confused when we'll get this character, and what we'll get at EVO. Explicitly mentioned a new character at Brazillian Pro Tour event, but then reveal Ken at SDCC, teasing seemingly the character to be revealed in Brazil, but then there's EVO next week which will almost assuredly have a reveal there. Timing is just weird.

I like a lot of the new features of the TE2 but just not into the design of it.
To get the pad working you just take the PCB out of the pad and solder the connections to the wiring PCB.
Thoughts on the SFV SDCC Panel (props to Chindogg again for the recording):
- Not much information on the game, but we got a new character so its ok
- God damn Capcom is going the fuck in with marketing/memorabilia/licensing for SFV. This is the makings of a huge release. They spent like 15 minutes on licensing goodies.
- Assassin's Fist sequel? Fuck yes. Hopefully the guys have more funding/money to work with.
- Still no word of a cross-platform partying solution. It's probably nothing, but Matt used the words "unified playerbase" instead of "play with your friends," an important distinction if there's any meaning behind it. The Rocket League devs confirmed that there are no restrictions from Sony's end to prevent IDs on either platform from partying up, but they have to build that solution themselves. I feel like a Jackbox.tv method would be the easiest way to go about it, just generate a temporary code for the lobby and have people input it to play with their friends. This is something pretty big I hope they don't tip toe around like most devs doing cross-platform games do.

Yeah it was good. Almost every rewind theatre, gaming or otherwise, that I have watched has been good. Watching Ken spin on the ground in slow mo during his critical art is so awesome.
