In four evos we've had 12 characters in the champion teams. At the top levels there's still a ton of variety.

i actually forgot who was in top 8 for the past evos besides the gods and outlier teams so im wondering if they fit into your definition

At the top end the play will be good that we'll get some good stuff regardless of the standard teams. And I expect pocket teams to be used. Well normally I would but the US fgc is really dry with trying other characters.
Some combo of MorriDoom, and ZeroMayCry. I know Justin still rocks Akuma+Wolvie+Storm.
I will readily admit I don't watch enough Marvel to know all the teams people play. I just remember people freaking out at CEO and a Hulk in grand finals.

On average there have been 16+ different characters in all the previous top 8 EVO individually. It should be the same this year as well.
It's just that the 16 different characters you will see are the 16 characters you have seen already.
So expect Zero, Doom, Vergil, Wolverine, Magneto, Morrigan, Phoenix, Dormammu, Dante, Strider, Nova, Spencer, Dr Strange, Storm, Akuma, Hulk, Haggar, Sentinel, Amaterasu etc.
Good chance that characters like Firebrand, Super Skrull, Shuma Gorath, C Viper, Hawkeye can make it in as well.
It's just that the 16 different characters you will see are the 16 characters you have seen already.

Maybe she was good all along and people hadn't noticed yet. But she didn't have a reputation for it yet, so people complained when Yipes got off the mic and Persia took over.
yep, unless you got an invincible air super or do psychic stuff
biggest issue is just getting them in place to be on the ground- if he does it when they're already at normal jump height it's very easy to escape shulk's airgrab super by airdashing or doublejumping away
