Wow Johnny Frost in this would be awesome.
Katana has been everywhere the last couple years. She was on Arrow as a season regular. She was the female lead in Beware the Batman. She's part of the first wave of DC Super Hero Girls, which is a big company initiative aimed at girls and women. She's had a solo series launched with another on the way. And of course, she's in this movie.
They clearly care about making the character happen. Killing her off in this movie when they could save her for other things would fly in the face of all of that.

I'm in for Harley and the Joker. (I doubt Leto can top Ledger for me, but a new take on the character can only be a good thing.)
Will Smith looks ridiculous and out of place. Was Manu Bennett not available? More likely, Will got the role for his star power. Shame.
I like the song in the trailer. A good match for the scenes with Harley.

with any luck, Batman will be treated like the monster in a horror movie; everyone gets the fuck out of the way and try to avoid him at all costs. Make him the secondary antagonist.

I didn't get that vibe at all. Also, considering Will Smith is in this, and Tom Hardy was supposed to be in it, I don't see why you would be worried about the movie being a Joker and Harley Quinn movie.

Enchantress origin seems like a big part of the movie actually. When in costume, her nude body is dirty as shit, I'm guessing she goes from that Mudbath part of the trailer to her in costume.

For people who were doubting Leto, crows will be fucking served! He just had a few seconds in the trailer but that was more than enough to know my faith in him was right. Can't wait for him. As for Suicide Squad in general, looks great! The next couple of years will be glorious for DC fans.

Not feeling it overall, and goddamn Margot Robbie and Will Smith don't fit in at all. I love Harley Quinn as a character as well so that's disappointing.
Jared Leto on the other hand got me pumped as fuck with those last 20 seconds of the trailer. Way too early to say but that scene alone frightened me more than any of Heath Ledger's Joker scenes in The Dark Knight so i'm optimistic.

True. I just noticed in the next shot with Jonny Frost, Joker is wearing a different. Gold chain still, but different jacket. Maybe it's just thug #4.

Will Smith didn't feel right to begin with, but he's a great actor so I'll happily let him prove me wrong. Other than that I'd say the rest is well chosen. I can't praise Leto enough.

I think this Harley is shit. Give me a girl who squeaks Mr j and wears a jester outfit every day.
That wouldn't work in this DC universe. Too goofy.
On that subject, Crocodile is a bit too goofy for me.

Think they could have found a much better balance between that Harley and this one though. Personally I'm not a fan of Margot Robbie playing her but the Harley she's playing doesn't help either.
Trailer made me a lot more positive about this. Concerned about casting (and focus being given to those actors even if their characters don't require it) but end of the day it's Guardians of the Galaxy with proper villains.
Which fits DCs niche of contrasting Marvels more cartoon takes on the world. Also will be fun with Batman (would love him as an antagonist in the b/g - in the dark about what their doing and trying to stop them).

That version of Harley ESPECIALLY wouldn't work in this universe. It's fine in the cartoons where she goes kinda slapstick at times, but not in any kind of remotely real-world representation.

Yep it actually looks good. 99% of time super hero movies suck, but this looks like it's on the right track, more than any other super hero movie.
edit: I agree they'll never make the right Harley. It's bull she wouldn't work in this movie, she would, but you'd need one heck of a good actress to pull it off. Of course she'd have to be more violent, but if they got the voice and demeanor right it would be great. For example when she does the shotgun move, she could have done it loudly and more expressively. It's just little details, doesn't have to be exactly like in the animated series. Plus it would work nicely with Leto's Joker. From what we saw, she just looks like a girl from Spring Break. We'll see though.

Lol, during the enchantress scene I seriously thought that was Jared Leto, am I the only one? When watching the potato trailer, I mean.
Croc's head movement and forcing himself to walk slow in the final shot before Joker's last line is hilarious.
And someone told me earlier in the thread that Joker is going to be a Hannibal type, locked up aside from flashbacks. But you know what? I'm calling it right now; he's orchestrating whatever the threat is from the inside and will be revealed as the big bad towards the end.
