So this quote really got me: This is a professionally produced (and hype as hell) trailer that they intended to only distribute to a fraction of their intended audience. What's the point in showing it if it's going to be so exclusive? Maybe if they stated it'll be a "timed" exclusive just for the audience and be publicly release days later it might deter people from recording it, but that's a poorly worded statement IMO.

I disagree. Nothing about this trailer feels like it was intended to be shown to general audiences. Basically no context or introduction for any characters and overall a pretty tame sequence of shots devoid of much action or dialogue. It definitely feels like a "preview"

Arrow (the WB tv show)'s take on Deadshot was man who couldn't adjust to postwar life and views mercenary work as his way to provide for his daughter. I think the movie will have a similar take.

Nothing about the behind the scenes stuff, casting or tone of this had me interested before the trailer. Watching it makes it clear that this is basically just a Harley Quinn and Joker movie; and that's pretty much the last thing I want to watch DC do, so I guess I'm out on this one.

Hopefully it's more Suicide Squad and less Joker's shitty satellite character and her friends with little screentime in the final cut.

That's while she's on mission and not still in lockdown and they get to wear what they'd like I guess since it adds to the "deniability" aspect of the squad. "It's not weird to see costumed villains causing trouble. That's just Gotham's everyday after all."

The first trailer for Batman v Superman did nothing to excite me about the film, and this is the same. If however they release a follow up trailer as good as the 2nd Bat vs Supes - they will firmly have my interest.

I desperately want DC to live up to their cinematic potential outside of Batman.

Jim Parrick is listed on IMDB as playing Johnny Frost in the movie. Johnny Frost is a thug/chauffeur from the Joker graphic novel. Judging by the shot of them both, he's dressed like one and it looks like he's showing Joker around.
