Can't fucking wait to see Aquaman.

Looks good. I have a lot of faith in Ayer. I really enjoyed End of Watch and Fury, and some of his earlier work was OK.

The style in this trailer I am digging. I'm sold so far on the Joker - he actually looks scary there. And was that a flashback of Batman taking down Joker and Harley? Sweet!

Edit: the person in the Batman costume shooting has some rather womanly hips.

ehhhhh....

I get this notion that the actors wanted to sell themselves as good guys or victims against the script's insistence. I don't know what I was expecting really.

it's not like these vilains are a planetary threat. hell they wouldn't even be able to threaten a country or a city. (maaaaaaybe Encchantress) like most criminals they just fell into the life. Croc has a skin condition that makes him look like a croc. he can't get regular jobs so he worked for the mafia.

Putting those characters all together like that does make me realise that the BvS guys look like they literally stepped off the pages of the comic books (can you tell Zack Snyder directed it?) while Joker and Harley stand out a bit by comparison.

Didn't do much for me, the Batman vs Superman one got me super psyched. This was really boring, showed a bunch of people I've got no connection with other then joker/quinn, and bad music selection.

And I'm a fan of super hero movies, and never read a comic in my life.

Most people who know Leto know that he is a great actor and he'd mostly likely do a pretty damn good job as the Joker. The initial criticism was not with the casting but with the design of The Joker. No matter how amazing Leto does as The Joker, his design will always be dumb and no where near as good at Ledger's.

I'm not saying it's 1:1, but you'll get over it! ;)

For me, the joker isn't really defined by his solo antics, but how he interacts with batman. I like what I saw out of Leto in this trailer, but I'm reserving judgment until he's on screen with Affleck as the bat. That's the make or break moment.

That shot of Batman is a clear homage to one of the covers for The Dark Knight Returns. The cape flares out just as the lightning strikes, Batman posed with one arm pointing down. I get why DC/Warner would want Snyder to bring to life their major characters after seeing how he presented heroes in The Watchmen - this all looks to be the desired results visually.

I know he can do action and frame beautiful shots. I just really hope he can turn in a personal directing work like he did in Dawn of the Dead (still one of my favorite movies).

Depends on the context/vision for the design. The beauty of this is that no matter how hard you try to play it down, this design is already legendary. It's the first time we've seen a Joker like this. A design so ridiculous, for a character so ridiculous, it simply just works.

I don't get people complaining they don't know who anyone is in the trailer, so it fell flat for them. Have these people never watched an ensemble movie, that wasn't based off of a comic book?

"PFFT I DON'T KNOW WHO THIS IS" is the lamest complaint about any adaptation.

See i think it fits the vibe of this new universe very well.

So how many characters did El Mayimbe get wrong? Wasn't the guy who was supposed to play Hugo Strange a guard in the trailer?

Margot Robbie manerisms are so on point, it's kinda like RDJ and Tony Stark she was born to play this role.

Leto is too old. Should have gotten younger talent. He's going to get multi-picture deals and in 7 years time we will have a 50-year-old Joker.

It'll be the battle of the old people.

I will say that I prefer the way the DCCU looks in the trailers to what Marvel is offering. I'm not trying to start anything, but Suicide Squad feels a lot different to Batman v Superman compared to it all just being films leading into more films for the sake of selling even MORE films... I know that's exactly what this is, but still.

Nailed it. I love Leto, but I'm not digging the look of Leto.

Dawn of the Dead is the only movie he's worked on that had a decent writer. Visually he's tremendously talented, it's just the scripts he's shooting from don't do him or his actors any favors.

Hopefully Terrio changes this.

This movie looks more interesting than Bats vs Superman, so far.

I am surprised by how much Leto is channeling Ledger's voice, it's almost like a dead on impression. I guess it's not too surprising, Ledger was so good in the role his mark is left Joker for a long, long time.

Read the quote out loud in a Valley Girl voice.

Closer to the movie's release, we should take wagers on who dies and how far into the movie they die

He's one of my early draft picks

He is absolutely the first to go. Second, I say El Diablo. Then Enchantress. Then Katana, then Croc (maybe), then Flagg (because he is obviously the real bad guy)
