2015 Console Screenshot Thread (PS4, XB1, Wii U) [READ OP!]

Edit: I've googled on the topic and it seems to be an issue for some people. Some players are complaining about the black bars visible during gameplay and in these cases increasing the display area in the console's menu apparently solves the problem. I only have that problem with screencaps (and judging by other screenshots from the God of War thread I'm not alone).
You'll want to make sure that overscan is disabled on your TV.

Is there a pixel count on The Vanishing of Ethan Carter? It looks great, but the image looks pretty soft. Could just be compression or post processing making things blurry.

Holy shit. Ethan Carter looks fantastic. Also seems like my kind of game. I'll definitely be grabbing it later in the month when I'm paid.

I have no idea how, but this game still manages to impress me every time I boot it up. Can't wait to see what Playground does with FH3.

Rocksteady have managed to capture that gritty Gotham atmosphere so damn well. I think they are on that same level of attention to detail as Rockstar for GTA V.

Looks like the dreaded combo of cheap AA and CA to me. I'm pretty sure the game is native 1080p.

Cheap AA in the name of performance is one thing, but CA? Devs have got to cut this shit out, ASAP. I seriously can't understand why anyone thinks it looks good. At least give us the option to turn it off.

It's actually listed as a known issue in the bug report forum now, so here's hoping for the next patch.

I just got back from an exploration run with my souped-up Hauler that netted me nearly 3mil credits, including my first black hole discovery. That turned out to be (unsuprisingly?) not very screenshot-worthy, though. In fact, without the sensors I had a hard time seeing it there at all, just some occasional distortion from gravitational lensing when it passed in front of a background star... (and I didn't want to risk getting too close, as I was hundreds of ly away from civilization in the spacefaring equivalent of a Ford Transit).

I did find this brown dwarf with a truly spectacular ring system, though:

(also pictured in the background is the Coalsack Nebula, which was my initial destination for that journey and the subject for my previous shots; I found this system after heading a few hundred ly out perpendicularly to a straight route home, then heading back).
Good news, that gives me some hope that we'll get it soon :D

Can't blame you for not getting too close to the blackhole. My target is to reach the edge of the galaxy and the often dark pockets of space you come across are scary as hell for some reason, it gives an strangely unpleasant feeling to fly there. The joy when you finally reach a star that you can use to refuel is really satisfying. So I can't blame you for keeping your distance from blackhole, especially in a space version of a ford transit :P

But is that a brown star with a ring system around it? I wasn't aware that that was possible.

Super Mario reference! (Only part in the whole game you see a warp pipe, and it's in one of the "hidden" locations in the game) Another nod to Mario that I noticed was when jumping for the third consecutive time with Ori, on the third jump he does a flip move similar to how Mario did in Super Mario 64. (No real difference in distance or height with Ori though). Made me smile.
