Deadshot: We're done, Waller. Mission abort, we're not doing this.

Waller: You don't have an option, Task Force X. At the press of this switch I can kill any and all of you, should you go rogue.

Rope Guy: We never have a choice, huh? How long have you been stringing us along?

Joker: ... who is this guy?

Too funny

i hope rope guy lives because a role for a native american actor is unprecedented in a big budget comic book movie. he turns the diversity dial up to 11.

Well, I mean, they're not going to kill off Will Smith so they got to bump that to the next minority. And he's playing rope guy and not a real threat? He's deader than dead. He's super duper dead.

Need this on every page.

I am surprisingly looking forward to this more than BvS. Just hoping both films turn out to be excellent.
Since they announced the director I thought it might end up being a dark horse that will be the best comicbook movie of 2016 and the trailer only made me more convinced of that.

So is the plot going to be an elaborate mission for the Suicide Squad to apprehend Joker or some Joker related shenanigans as the narrative occasionally explores fragments of backstory related to the various members before finishing with the big reveal that Joker's torture of Harley ensures her allegiance as she then turns on and deconstructs her allies and is one of only three or so of the group who "get away" and return to a life of crime?

I think Enchantress and other meta humans will be the target. Joker will be for Harley's Origin and maybe a distraction from the mission later.

The popularity of the Joker cannot be understated. His presence alone will make Suicide Squad a hit.

Is Joker the only villain who is as popular as the heroes when it comes to comic book movies? I cannot think of any other villain who can alone carry a comic book movie. Magneto maybe? I hope DC and Marvel look at this and start taking character development of bad guys more seriously.

Venom probably could if they don't completely fuck up his character (which they're 1:1 on)

Loki?

Are there any bad fanmade deviantart movie posters for this yet? I always enjoy how awful those are.
The ones from The Dark Knight Rises are great.

I suppose fans are waiting for promo shots.

My guess is, they are sent to some location to extract a high-profile target... the Joker is a wild card running around screwing up plans... and all hell breaks loose and gonna be about them trying to get out of wherever alive

Yes he is. Mostly because he brings things like comedy, humor and trolling to the stage. All of those things become very memorable and hard to replicate for other villains in terms of acting. The only other character that is capable of upstaging Joker is probably the Riddler. Sadly WB hasn't really done much for that character in cinema. Its a shame Nolan didn't make a Batman with the Riddler in it. His style of directing and storytelling would have been perfect for that.

I think Joker is the best and most famous villain alongside Darth Vader.

My Mother doesn't know anything about pop-culture, but she knows Batman, Superman, Spider-Man and The Joker.

I would argue that, as far as the MCU is concerned, Loki is more popular than Thor. Hell, Chris Hemsworth is more popular than Thor. At the moment Thor is essentially the MCU equivalent of Booster from Jingle All the Way.

Or maybe Hawkeye is, I'm not sure.

I had hoped Joker would lead, or be recruited into, the Suicide Squad. But he makes a good antagonist for the film.
I'm hoping what happens is what a poster brought up earlier, and that's the Joker flashbacks will lead to a twist at the end that might create a downer ending, or(because of the popularity of the Joker) a happy ending. Let's face it, wouldn't the best outcome be to give Joker a win(Maybe even multiple wins in this universe) to slowly build him up for his climactic confrontation with The Batman.

I dont know. It looked boring and generic dark to me. Can't identify most of them besides Joker gonna Joker.

How will this ties in with BvS and JL?

Ronan the Accuser and Malekith were poorly developed villains say whaaaaaaat?

Absolutely not. Joker is not a team player at all. Plus, he's never been in any incarnation of the Squad so I'd like to believe that they'll stick close to that.

Malekith got bodied by Thor's mommy and had to get a sucker punch in to win.

Villain of the decade tbh.

There's a reason Lex never calls Joker when he wants to put together a new Legion of Doom.
