He ran into KBR (the EVO champion) and ChrisG.
He lost to KBR and then Chris G.
Third Strike... Also maybe Vampire Savior and CvS2. Maybe go to GGA once I learn enough and play Mightymar and pockets. And now for the question folks ask themselves once a year...

For me, I'm gonna try to play more anime in general and Skullgirls. They had the hypest top 8.
EDIT: Also I really wish the title was Fighting Games Weekly|Frauds Among U.S.
lol
I did the same
That game is trash and it died last year when Justin won
That'd blowyeah but what if cap won evo
what then
That'd blow
Like Smash? That new Rising Thunder game has no SRK/QCF motion for special moves...
MEGATON!
I made a post a while back about a fighter that can use something like this although I use one special button instead of having 3 (and you would do specials by doing one direction + special). Cool to see someone actually use it.
Smash isn't a fighting game breh. /s kappa etcLike Smash?
So did Mr. Wizard even try to justify the ArcSys hate, or did he just realize there's no point since it's so obvious at this point.
Yatagarasu at Evo was hype. Lots of people who hadn't heard of it gave it a go, and we had a 96-man single Elim tournament on saturday.
(Then I played the winner in a FT3 and bodied him)
Yata isn't done, looks like we might be able to bring a copy or two to other US tournaments down the road.
Also, had a chance to speak with the game designer Umezono. They want to fix some UI/connection issues but it's a matter of -when they can get around to it- as Yata is their side project on top of their real jobs.
I speculate that when GGPO is added other things will also get fixed.
Champ, ChrisG and Justin (In MvC3 anyways) aren't even "Gods". People need to stop calling top players Gods.
but polytheism is cool
I think the justification is GG is primarily a Japanese game so he wants it on prime Japanese time.
*Negaduck was the ONLY PERSON who correctly guessed the "new fighting game" question and he even guessed who was going to make it!

Not just that, but Persona players not getting golden sticks, despite Smash (which doesn't use sticks) and Killer Instinct/Tekkem (which got fewer entrants) getting them (even ignoring the Friday slot vs the latter 2).Dat Japanese prime time of 1am
Smash isn't a fighting game breh. /s kappa etc
Though I was mostly talking about in context of a SF/KI game. Ground based fighting game with life bar depletion.

I don't think so.Smash uses analog inputs. Does the robot game do that?
There was a good period where only these 3 won any majors and most other players didn't come close. It was definitely a gulf in skill and performance but now that gulf has been over taken. This was obvious in the last couple of majors too but at EVO it has become blatant now.Champ, ChrisG and Justin (In MvC3 anyways) aren't even "Gods". People need to stop calling top players Gods.
I don't think so.
It's 3 attack buttons like Marvel (Light, Medium, Heavy).
Then you have 3 special buttons for your 3 special attacks. They are designated as Alpha, Beta, Gamma like Assists from MVC2 (dat Seth Killian touch). Whenever you use one of those special moves they have a cooldown and they are displaced below your super meter.
Also you can change your 3 special attacks in the load out screen so it's similar to MKX/Marvel in that sense because there's definitely customization as well.
Also I got to play SFV with Combo and go over a lot of the games base design.
Can you develop a little on those changes and other decisions ? Thanks.
Wait, people used Elena's SA1?People use Healing. She's one of the few characters in the game (maybe only her and Ryu) that have all good supers. Since she doesn't have much in the way of combos she's played lame a lot.
I saw some game play footage and the cooldowns on some of the attacks are too much.On paper that sounds pretty good.

are you gonna do a writeup
did you ask about ryu and bison's walkspeeds
Yeah we did a short interview with Peter and Matt. I can't say much yet until we go over what we can and can't say.
Also Haunts is a homie. He's always watching over us.

Man so much hate for the designs in the robot game in that other thread.
I actually like that art style, it's so clean and easy to see everything on screen. Very different from KI and MKX which are so busy and garish at times. It's very similar to DOTA/TF/Overwatch style.
The robots are cool too. Simple and clean.
Sometimes. It has less range and damage than Brave Dance, but it still comes out fast, is good aa, more ex. Would have to dig around to find an sa1 player. Not many Elena players in general.Rising Thunder seems very interesting.
Wait, people used Elena's SA1?
The sidestep change made it so you can't block for a few frames after each sidestep. Most of the new characters also have really strong tracking moves. Watching Koreans play, the game looked like a 2d game, back and forth footsies with almost no lateral movement.
At Evo, it looked a lot better. While it might be due to the characters in the top 8, it seemed like a lot of players were getting successful sidesteps. Also with sidestep nerfed, the Korean playstyle of zipping around the screen and avoiding everything will be less dominant, which is probably why a lot of Koreans don't like T7 right now. At Evo, it looked like there was a good balance between movement, and having to respect offense more.
That said, the whole Momochi/Infiltration thing to me is why I think smaller casts in fighting games can be a good thing.
That said, not sure if it's commercially viable these days.
