I don't know guys, ROTR, Halo 5, FIFA 16 are all 2015 titles. Didn't he say that E3 was more for 2015 titles and Gamescom will be more for the 2016 titles? Although, they will probably do something FIFA related given it's Gamescom.

A tomb raider thing was already rated so it'll def be there. There will probably also be a snippet of a master chief halo mission and an announcement of a bundle.

FIFA is gonna get talked about just because it's Europe and they are partners with MS

If MS are smart, none.

KI is coming to PC, if MCC goes to PC, the Xbox One will only have two Retail Exclusives two years into its life cycle. That's just pitiful.

Agree. Its okey when some titles release 6 or 12 months later on pc, by that time nobody is going to care.

But new releases should stay on the console. Microsoft wants to sell consoles.

- opening with Quantum Break
- Forza 6 demo
- Fifa 16 demo
- new Rare game announcement (BK?)
- Crackdown demo
- Indie montage
- announcement of VR headset from Oculus
- Windows 10 talk / new features for Xbox One
- Scalebound demo
- another game announcement
- closing with TR

Why Fifa 16 demo ? That'd be at EA's, probably get a trailer for it at Xbox though not a demo besides do you really need to demo Fifa 16 I mean * kicks ball* /endgame. LOL.

Also I'd think they open with TR since that was at the back end of E3.

- Open with Tomb Raider Demo + Multiplayer Reveal ?
- Halo 5 Trailer + Halo Reach for MCC 'available now'
- Quantum Break Demo w/ Release Date Early 2016
- Alan Wake Remastered Announced (as pre order bonus for QB but won't release until summer 2016, also separate for $19.99 )
- Forza 6 Trailer
- Indies
- Scalebound Demo w/ Release Date
- Third Party
- Windows 10, new Xbox UI - 'Available now for Preview members'
- Inside Trailer w/ Release Date (Timed Exclusive)
- Fable Legends Trailer w/ Release Date
- Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Trailer
- Fifa 16 Trailer
- New Game
- Closing with Crackdown w/ Release Window 'Holiday 2016'

Oh, I see, then. Well, now I am even more hyped. They better show some more of Mother Russia industrial location.

They haven't mentioned it. We know very little about Gears for PC.

Edit: Defer to Steve. He knows more about Gears than I do.

Gears does not have cross-play.

Fair enough, it makes sense, people with a mouse would probably have an easier time pulling those shotgun shots after barrel rolling :D
It's not launching at the same time as Xbox either, right?

Did Rare confirm they will be there? Any hints on what they're going to show?

I think there's a high chance Nadella is thinking how can first-party IP drive Windows 10 adoption, Windows stores sales, and broader usage worldwide. He's made it very clear that none of the divisions with hardware are going to be run as their own businesses any more.

I'm looking forward to cross-buy/cross-play immensely more than reading the next GAF thread tallying exclusives with some convoluted qualifiers for nothing more than console wars.

My semi-reasonable list because why not:

  • Open with QB gameplay demo, maybe lasts 7 or so minutes
  • Announce new partnership with SkyBox Labs on some Windows 10 title
  • Sizzle Reel/Trailer for Gigantic, closed beta starts now, release date revealed
  • Fable Legends trailer with release date
  • Fifa 16 short demo, because they kinda have to
  • Scalebound demo, maybe 7 or so minutes
  • ID@Xbox Sizzle Reel
  • Forza 5 coming to Windows 10, DX12 and all that jazz
  • New Backwards Compatibility titles avilable for preview members
  • Rare is here to announce the first DLC pack of titles added to Rare Replay will be the Gameboy Advanced titles (let me dream)
  • Killer Instinct Season 3 trailer
  • End with Crackdown demo, game will look amazing and have distruction out the ying yang with your bros

Yep! Expect more titles to be on both Win10/XB1. Phil also said he believes that there is a good balance and options are good to have.

By the way, if you want to check out some of the Windows10 stuff I created a thread last night in community for Windows 10 Xbox Live Gaming :)

Win10 store success is much more important to MS than Xbox One success. Plus, Win10 store success could bleed into people making Bone purchases since they will already own the games for them. Would be an effective way to play the games you already own on a tv for those who do not have their PCs hooked up to a tv.

Yep, precisely. And this is exactly Microsoft's thinking...fanboys and list warriors be damned!

I personally love it. I get to own the game on both platforms and play where I choose, and people who don't own Xbox One can now jump in on some of these games if the really don't want the console yet. I get to play with my friends who are PS4 only, and people who only own an Xbox will continue to get the games as well. I really don't understand the people that want the games to be locked to Xbox One only, as a way to validate their purchase or something.

Cant wait for the uproar when Microsoft announce their PC games are exclusive to their Windows store!
Why should there be an uproar when that's what we should all be expecting? One of the main reasons for Microsoft to push their games on PC is to promote Windows 10 and the Windows 10 Store, so where else should we expect these games to end up?

This needs to emphasized over and over again. Windows is incredibly important to Microsoft whereas Xbox is not. Right now, Microsoft is in a comfortable position in terms of Windows, but there are negative trends on the horizon, and it's key that they can leverage Windows 10 properly to overcome these trends. One of the ways that they're going to do so is to push the Windows 10 Store to the kind of success that the Windows 8 Store failed to achieve. It wouldn't be surprising at all if Microsoft were to offer anything on the Store that they think will help it get to critical mass, including any and all of their exclusive games.

This is one of the reasons why I stick to other consoles/handhelds. At least with Nintendo & PlayStation platforms, at least we're guaranteed to see 1st & 2nd party exclusives stay on those platforms.

The whole MS store games only being on Win 10 store has been and is expected to happen. I don't think there'll be an uproar personally, some people will whine sure, but it is what it is.

Unlike Origin, etc. Win 10 store is auto there for you with Windows 10, everyone will have it and it's not going anywhere.

I said earlier that Spencer had said they'd "close the show" with Scalebound. Now that I look around again, I'm not sure where I read that. He's said it would be "front and center," but I could've sworn I read something about it being the closer. That might be wrong, but I hope it gets a nice demo.

Being a console exclusive is what's important. Xbox is competing directly with playstation. If PC gamers want to wait a year to play games so they don't have to buy an Xbox then they should have that option. I'm sure they're thinking far into the future Xbox will be more of a brand than a box anyway

"Recore and Sea of Thieves no show at Gamescom"

Sea of Thieves I can understand because I think they showed this very early and it won't be out until 2017, but seeing as Recore is supposed to be out early 2016 I'm surprised they're not yet ready to show it yet. Always a bit concerned when games are revealed with CGI trailers, and it's not encouraging that they're not able to show gameplay at the next major trade show after announcement.

Cant wait for the uproar when Microsoft announce their PC games are exclusive to their Windows store!

It amazes me how many people still think games like KI are coming to Steam; they're not. Windows 10 store is essentially GFWL 2. They will have to make an Xbox gamertag and log in to Live just as they had to before. Can't wait for the "why can't I play KI on my Linux-based Steambox" uproar as well.

Why wouldn't there be an uproar? People love Steam, PC gamers don't like Microsoft and a lot of people want to buy things on their terms. If/when its confirmed, expect lots of bitching.

On the other hand I will get my popcorn and enjoy :)

Rare have actually suggested Sea of Thieves is a Holiday 16 title although I suspect that will be some beta shenanigans. And regarding ReCore, they actually said Spring 16 which is mid-March to mid-June, we know its playable and they talked about showing it to us, but they have plenty of time before that timeframe to actually show it

Recore is not early 2016, it's Spring 2016 which goes through mid June. So it could be early or it could be middle of the year.

They have plenty of time to show it off (PAX and Game Awards this year, they could IGN First it, etc.). Few shows to start the year to show it off at too.

I guess it's possible it comes out right after E3 just like Batman.

Interesting that Rare is not showing SoT. I suppose we'll see more Rare Replay for sure, but I hope they show their third game.

I don't think all of 10 people can make that much of an uproar.

From Microsoft's perspective they are competing with Amazon, Google, and Apple for their core businesses of cloud infrastructure, cloud services, and OS. Nadella has realigned all the divisions around supporting those initiatives, so Sony's Playstation really isn't that much of a concern in the grand scheme of things.

Do we know what time this is for American's by the way? Haven't really looked into it and was curious what time on the 4th it will be.

(of course it could be in the OP, but I'm bouncing back and forth at work and thought I'd just ask lol)

Pretty excited for this show. I don't own an XONE, and don't plan on buying one this year since none of the releases of this year interests me, but maybe this press will be the little push i need to buy one next year. SB and Crackdown interest me the most, since X360 Crackdown was ace and i love Platinum work, but QB looks interesting as well. Just for curiosity, is the press conference streamed like E3 ? I never "watched" Gamescom before, this will be my first one.

For Xbox stuff, I'd expect:
- Killer Instinct Season 3 Announcement (not expecting a trailer, unless it's just a tease of Kim Wu and Tusk) to go along with the PC crossplay stuff;
- Backwards compatibility update (a list and date of the first wave);
- New UI stuff.

Non Xbox stuff I'd expect:
- Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 2 Announcement (they just released the last character from the first, they have teased a second pack (Boon's twitter and on the Kombat Kast);

Does anyone have inklings on what Hearthstone announcement is being teased for this week? I think it would work well enough on consoles?

Ohhh, its a shame that Recore won't be showed, though i don't really care for SoT. After finally playing the Metroid Prime Trilogy (almost finishing the second game by now), and loving them, i couldn't be more hyped to see more of the work of these guys, and the concept of Recore is pretty cool.

Uproars occur when things happen that turn out worse than they are expected to. Everyone should already expect Microsoft to concentrate on their own PC platforms, so these games being Windows 10 Store-only shouldn't come as a surprise. Also, I don't think that you should generalize with "People love Steam, PC gamers don't like Microsoft"; it does a poor job of encapsulating the wide gamut of different opinions out there.

It's not going to hurt microsoft at all. Either way they are making money and the people game on xbox vs. pc are pretty different market.

How many times is it said on here to go with pc ps4 combo, instead of pc xbox? A lot.

It also makes sense in terms of Microsoft's unification strategy for their products.

People should get use to the idea of "xbox" being a service and the xbox hardware simply being a simplified path to enjoying the service. Think steam machines.

KI not coming to steam? I don't think that's wise decision from MS.

...

Get use to it. MS first party published titles will be in the xbox marketplace on Windows 10 not on Steam.

This is due to Cross-Buy, Cross-Play and to keep people within their eco-system. Plus everyone on Windows 10 will have the marketplace and xbox live. I will say the xbox live party chat (which doesn't require you to pay anything on PC) works amazingly. I could see some people using it over team speak/Skype/mumble.

I don't think a lot of people expect MS to concentrate on their own PC platforms though, they expect them to conform, whether they will or not... we'll find out soon enough.

Perhaps it was a poor choice of wording but from what I've seen thats a fairly accurate description of the picture being painted, its not necessarily an unfair one either but it is as it is.
