Aaaaaand as a test, something new for me:

Are gifs against the rules? If not, is there a way to make them look better? I know the format's very limited, and most people won't have animated PNG-compatible browsers, so it seems like 256 colours is the only choice for now :(

A 256 color GIF with dithering using something like Batman AK which has pretty dirty IQ will probably look pretty good.

Also, to use an old example, I've found that including 3 frames instead of just 2 makes a big difference in those wiggle 3D gifs,

and I think that doing 4 frames in a circle is a much more impressive effect.

Might help you out!

Minus doesn't work for embedding anymore, and also those are super compressed JPEGs. If you have the original lossless PNG files I recommend you use the guide in the OP to convert the PNG's to Lossless JPEG. If you don't have the lossless PNG files, then unfortunately you can't have those screenshots in the thread.

Thank you for the tips. I'll try using 3 frames next time - 4 is a bit too pukey for me!

Omega, how are you taking your screenshots? They're far too compressed!
