Street Fighter V Beta Thread: Welcome, future '16ers! (Currently Inactive!)

Fuck, I have to go grab dinner for everyone while the servers are coming back online :(

Do it a bit earlier than you think you have to, The framebuffer gives you a nice window. It took me about 5 mins before landing it consistently. it's all about getting use to feel of the combos in the engine. Can take varying amounts of time for different people (just like getting into the beta!)
 
I'm glad I was able to play for a bit. Only got like 5 matches in, but I was wrecking with Nash. This game is stun city and I love it. How much I wish I could use my stick though ^_^
 
I have optic fiber, i'm in france, i had 0 input lag on any of my match.

I had about 10 matches.

One lagged (teleportation), one misread my inputs severely, the rest was pretty much the same as training mode.

France VS USA . So I wouldn't say this is like SF 4.
 
I played training mode and gosh, I was able to do jumping fierce kick + c mk + hadoken combo constantly while I cannot do that in USF4. I was unable to play a match though

What makes you say that? I find her V Trigger the most appealing (I've used everyone but Dictator). And I've had the most use out of it. Cammy's is close, but mostly for her cannon strike. I kind of missed being able to EX drill when I activated her V Trigger
that sounds all kinds of wrong/right
. I think the lamest so far is Ryu, personally. Then again, I'm going to think most things Ryu are lame until they give him back his mule kick ;)

Multihit attacks, but doesn't really change the way she plays at all. Dictator gets two new approach options and a new punish. Pretty big stuff.

She gets new combo opportunities, most importantly gets to combo after her overhead. If she gets an air atk while in vtrigger its big damage. Though Bison easily gets the most significant changes.

I'll have to agree to disagree then. When I used V Trigger w/ Chun my attacks felt a lot safer, in part because I knew I had a little extra time for the hits to register (if they connected or were blocked). Also I went for almost the same startup every time: either j fierce or hard kick, cr fierce, light/medium/ex legs, super if available. That was actually my 53 hit combo, quite easy. I'm not much of a Chun player in SF4, though I did use her a bit in 3s (albeit a tad unorthodox, since I used SA3 exclusively), so I can't say if my approach was supposed to be the same without V Trigger, but I mostly used spacing until I built it up. I went from footsies and zoning to rushdown.

May be doing it wrong, but then again it's probably too early to tell.
