It's Batman. He has the resources to develop light-weight flexible material that can stop bullets and blades, because it's a comic book movie with aliens and a demigod from a mystical island (ie sure it wouldn't work in real life, but this isn't realistic)

Forget general audiences, apparently even OG comic book nerds have a hard time suspending their sense of disbelief over these costumes. We need to stop worrying about their practicality and just try to design them well.

That does hit home and remind me there are many supermen out there, but only one true heroic Superman, as there are plenty of powerful monsters already.

There is always something about some psycho superman archetype which is cool (DC done it with Superman losing control, and I guess technically with Superboy Prime, and other dimensional supermen), but I'm glad there is always the one hero Superman that makes him Superman.
