I disagree. The CBA is an agreement between a union and non-union entity. It is no different from the agreement between a grocery store union and the overriding parent corporation which lays out benefits/misconduct and termination details.

Nonsense. The science is fundamental to this. The smoke completely goes away if the footballs are not tampered with, and there is no evidence they were.

I love how everyone is on him about destroying the phone. In reality, he upgraded and checked multiple times if he needed to keep the broken phone before tossing it. AND THEN, after the fact and when they start whining about needing his phone, he goes to the lengths of contacting the phone company, etc, in order to assist.

I've done a 180 on this story and feel the whole thing is ridiculous and that Brady shouldn't have been suspended, but you really have to be gullible to believe this.

It does matter because Roger is making a big deal over something that is essentially a null point and a deflection from his incredibly lacking case. Fuck handing over my phone, I wouldn't do that shit either and I doubt you would.
People don't get this, Roger is an incompetent shit. Brady and the Pats suck too, but watching Roger fail is infinitely more enjoyable.

The NFL is making a big deal about the phone to deflect from the fact that they had zero evidence implicating Brady. There was nothing linking him in the equipment guys texts. NFL doing pretty much what Republicans did with Benghazi. They didn't find their smoking gun, so they wanted to go fishing.
And to all the people saying "They could have handed over the selected text messages". What would have happened if they did that? Does anyone honesty think the NFL would not be saying "Well, Tom and his Lawyer didn't give us everything, only selected texts". The NFL would have thrown a fit over anything but the full and total records, and Tom had every right to tell them to piss off.

That's the problem. They know, independent of any evidence or objective reasoning. It's confirmation bias to the nth degree and it's sad to watch.

I don't think the NFL should have access to any text message Brady sent, especially to those outside of the Patriot organisation. Brady providing meta-data is in my opinion a fair comprise.

That's the funniest thing about this. This is a minor technical regulation that no one in the NFL gave a shit about. No records were kept of ball PSI, and some officials even admitted to just squeezing the balls to see if they were OK. The NFL's own investigation got different PSI numbers when they measured the Patriots balls.
But hey, Goodell wants to make a bigger deal about a technical violation that was probably done unintentionally than players beating the shit out of their wives. Well, make a big deal about the Patriots committing a technical violation. Vikings tamper with the balls and no one cares.

As a Saints fan, I love that this guy's entire run as a commissioner has been a shit show of epic proportions. Please, oh please let that suspension get overturned. Not for Tom or the Pats, but only so it's one more blemish on Goodell's record.
