I can believe the game releasing next year, but no way in Q1. We're only just seeing it for the first time tomorrow.
I'd bet both Scalebound and Crackdown will be Q4 2016 or 2017 games. As I remember they still weren't in production when announced.

I don't believe that was said for scalebound not sure on cd though. Ntkrnl said both were March 16 iirc, I still think SB first half of 16 but crackdown will be later

I'd be surprised if they show gameplay for a game much more than a year from release. I'd say that's usually the break-off point. Show stuff too early and it's way too subject to change, not fully fleshed out, plus the marketing hype machine is pretty particular. I'd bet that if they do show gameplay for both they'll almost certainly be late 2016 releases at most.

I hope Scalebound is a spring/summer release, MS need to stop putting all their stuff out in fall. I wanna play my xbox one throughout the year.

I think Crackdown is definitely going to be a 2017 release. I think they announced it way too early (similar to the Phantom Dust situation) and building a high quality open world game with a completely destructible environment is going to take at least 3 years. They're not going to rush this and repeat the cock-up which was Crackdown 2, as that will kill the franchise before it even has a chance to re-establish itself.

Scalebound on the other hand will probably be 2016, plus Platinum are a crazily efficient studio and Kamiya has probably been 100% focused on it since TW101 was finished in 2013.

Why? They've just shown Gears 4 footage for a late 2016 release. They've been showing Quantum Theory footage for ages now. If the visuals are polished enough I'd much rather see actual gameplay than yet more CGI or someone on stage talking about it.

16:00 for +1 region (unsure if that's where the pre-show begins or the actual briefing)

One ticket bitte schoen!

I say May. Scalebound is probably the Q1 game.

Nahh, I think QB will be sooner. I think they could have had it ready for this Holiday season if need be, but since their release schedule was already so packed with Halo/TR, they pushed it back to early spring.

I think Recore will be a May game, and Scalebound will get pushed back to second Half of the year......Here would be my release prediction.

March 2016 -- Quantum Break
May/June 2016 -- Recore
Aug/Sep. 2016 -- Scalebound
September 2016 -- Forza Horizon 3
October 2016 -- Crackdown
November 2016 -- Gears 4
"Spring 2017" -- Sea of Theives

Of coarse that is just speculation, and there could be a spot for Halo Wars 2 in there (if it gets announced).

Hope there is a surprise announcement. While those are good titles, and I am hyped about another Crackdown; there isn't anything that I'm clearing the schedule for.

#gamescom2015 is tomorrow and #KillerInstinct will be there! I wonder what announcements there will be....?

Season 3. Let's go!

Pretty great lineup.

Purely guessing that KI Season 3 will start in February or March (simultaneous release on PC and Xbox One) and Rare will have Battletoads as a summer release.

Pretty sure there will be a Halo game of some sort. IIRC, Bonnie said very clearly they wanted annual Halo releases.

Public beta probably. It's been in closed for a while now, right?

I'm actually sort of excited to try it out. Visually it looks great and it could be a good fallback F2P game.

They might just be announcing that character and they aren't ready for release yet.

I love Fable 1 and 2 so a tradition entry into the series even after how disappointing 3 was would be very welcomed. I don't expect any really big announcements though, I think this will be mostly showing off already announced games.

I don't know about that, Fable 3 was one of the biggest disappointments for me. I can't go through that again.
Eh. It was a disappointment compared to Fable II, but I liked Fable III. Besides, it was a two year project. They should have delayed it to 2011 to iron out the technical issues.

Imagine what they could have done with Fable IV if it had the same amount of development time as Fable Legends (3+ years) and ran on a more conventional graphics engine.

It reminds me how I'd much rather have a new IP than freaking Fable. Such a mediocre franchise imo :/
New IP would have been great as well, but they chose to make a new Fable game instead. If they want to continue making Fable games I'd much rather want them to make single-player open-world RPGs than multiplayer-centric, level-based RPGs.

I'm hoping one of the surprises is that DOAX3 is coming to US and Europe after all, and is an Xbox exclusive. Hey, I can dream.

More realistically, I'm expecting most surprises will involve Windows 10, not Xbox-specific stuff.

I think they'll be the spring/summer 2016 releases. They need to have games throughout next year and not do what they did this year. They'll have heavy hitters for next fall as well but I think these games will do well in spring time.

Just for balance, I'm quite looking forward to Fable Legends.
I wouldn't be so hard on Fable Legends if it wasn't for the fact that it's been five years since Fable III came out. I didn't complain this much when they were making The Journey. I even defended their right to try something different with the IP.

...but back then I thought that Fable IV would be their next game after TJ. That's why it was so disappointing to me when they revealed that their next Fable game was yet another offshoot of the main series.

Just give it a try. It's going to scratch that Fable itch and bring some new exciting things to the table.

Crackdown will be out in 2016. They have been teasing it since the reveal event. It probably has already been in development for three years.

I will give it a go when the full version comes out, but I doubt it will scratch my Fable itch. Fable is more than just colourful graphics and quirky Britishness to me. It's also about story, exploration and interaction with NPCs.

A bigger focus on multiplayer means that those aspects will not be as prevalent as in Fable I-III. The 4v1 element was especially disappointing to hear about, as it means that each level will have to be designed with that in mind.

Edit: and while I might end up liking it, I'd still want Fable IV anyway. Just like I still want a new proper Banjo-Kazooie even though I ended up enjoying my time with Nuts & Bolts.

The exploration part I get, that's why I play them, but story? I didn't think the stories were good in any of them.
