Gamescom: Microsoft press conference (August 4; Scalebound, Crackdown, QB, H5+ more)

Pessimistic side appearing: Scalebound will get a really mixed reception

Optimistic side to counteract: Every part of the conference is memorable.
 
Couple of hours to see if Microsoft can conquer the gaming world and render everyone else irrelevant in 90 minutes. /s

Hope scalebound is amazing
 
I loved the first Crackdown, didn't play the second but still interested in the third one. Might play that if I every buy a One.

I mentioned this before in the predictions thread I think, but I'm betting we'll see one of the IPs in Rare Replay revived/announced. Whether it's Rare's 2nd team or somebody else making it, something like a new Banjo or Battletoads, the timing seems all too convenient.

I agree with you, but I'm not too sure what Rare would get revived. I'm confident it's not Perfect Dark, but it could be Banjo or Battletoads since both games were hinted.
 
I had a dream last night that there'll be a Halo 5 PC announcement, so you can probably take that one to the bank.

5. Will there be an "available now" announcement (Yes - An early access title and/or the new UI update for preview members)
6. Will RDR backcomp be announced? (No)
7. New AAA title getting announced / doesn't matter if 1st or 3rd party or exclusive (Yes)
8. Has MS bought Silent Hills? (No)
9. Will there be another Hololens Demo? (No)
10.New permanent price drop in EU? (Yes - 329€)
 
So I saw someone mention 90 minutes to go here and I was thinking wtf are they talking about it doesn't start until 10...then I remembered I'm on the west coast for work this week so it's actually 7 for me...fucking 1 hour to go!!!

I think it's going to be Battletoads.

Reasons:
  1. The trademark renewal back in November (same thing happened with KI)
  2. Phil's shirt at the Windows 10 event in January
  3. Battletoads in Shovel Knight
  4. Chris Charla's comment about wondering where they would show up next
  5. Darkside Games (former Phantom Dust reboot devs) where told Battletoads was off the table
  6. Their new design for Rare Replay
Now this could of all been for Rare Replay like Craig Duncan told me it was but I don't believe. There's too much there.

That will be at EA. 45 minutes Fifa, 10 minutes Star Wars and 5 minutes for the rest.

Not sure whether this was just pure coincidental luck or I'm still missing some other preliminary, but I applied for the Fable:Legends beta only an hour ago and was immediately given a beta-key and am currently downloading to my Xbox. Maybe a sign of an immediate open beta launch?
