Thanks. The lighting and contrast was so dull I just had to change it. Idtech5 isn't bad imo.. I think Rage still holds up well. I think a lot of the time it's not so much the engines, it's the developers that are doing their games a disservice because their settings are off.

Very nice. Bioshock's color is very muted by default and definitely benefits from third party tools (i.e. SweetFX/Reshade) to make the colors and the details pop.
Be careful with those blacks! They're quite fragile and susceptible to crushing!

Driver Hotfix 353.49 and older W10 drivers still have a working custom resolution setup. But no, using DDU won't help at all (at least didn't back when I was still on the insider preview). W10 just forces the drivers up your ass and installs new ones (I was playing Dying Light and Windows decided to update my drivers as I was playing). Only method that worked for me was uninstalling drivers through DDU and using the Windows Update Show/Hide Tool which can disable certain driver updates as marking them as faulty. I'm currently on 353.62 and just waiting for a new driver to come out and allow me to set custom resolutions and refresh rates again.

I just tried making a custom resolution and it works fine for me. I'm a Microsoft Insider, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, but I haven't had Windows 10 installing graphics drivers automatically. I've got the 353.62 drivers.

It's possible that MS has released some kind of a fix only for the insider build (I'm running the retail version so I wouldn't know though). Also well possible that some might have custom resolutions/DSR working without any problems but loads of people have reported issues with the most recent drivers (353.50 - 353.62).

Looks amazing as it is but with reshade I think it'll look absolutely stunning. Pop those colors out a bit, shine those textures up and add more contrast and you've got yourself a next-gen looking game.

EDIT: While I'm here actually, I have a query about ReShade. Sometimes games will continuously bounce between the ReShade DoF setting and the game's standard look - does anyone know why this might be? I've seen it in other games too, I'd love to know what causes it.
