So yeah, FFXV will eventually be out in 2018 ("early", Q1). KH3 will be out in 2017 in time for Christmas. FFVII remake will be out sometime in the future.

how big are the chances that DQ 11 will release 2016 in the west as well?
Atleast that and KH 3 would make up for it and make me forget FF15

Literally what do they do at Square Enix all day?

They're trying really hard to push the graphical quality envelope. Realistic lightning, realistic fog, all those skin and hair effects, clothing. What's that? It doesn't run very well and we can't even work with LOD for flying on airships very well? Does it matter, look at that great-looking tear!

Final Fantasy never changes.

This was announced the year Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria was released and we're gonna get a VP spiritual sequel before this, lol.

Is that Lightning or someone from FFXV? Did not look at new trailer yet, but I'm really liking the character model. I Might need to try out FFXII as my first Final Fantasy game.

I agree you should try out FFXII, but your post makes no sense lol

P.S. Yes, that's Lightning, she's in FFXIII though

i can't decide what the worst thing was

was there a single question that they didn't dodge with the whole "LOOK FORWARD TO FUTURE UPDATES"

Guys... What if the FFXV demo (ver 2.0) has more stuff done than what they have on the rest of the game so far combined?

And here we thought SE was getting itself back on track after E3

I am now deeply concerned about all of their projects

I guess Dragon Quest to the rescue since they can actually complete and release games?

Remember in the last few threads when an odd "2015 surprise release date announcement!" post would pop up?

Ayy

:(

I'm reading one of those threads side by side and the difference is amazing. Like... literally the exact opposite. All the hope.... all gone now... :(

Oh yeah I completely forgot they skipped E3 for this, wow.

Nomura's vaporware at least managed to excite me, Tabata's has just been dull so far.

I look forward to hearing what feature they're considering adding next thanks to their focus groups

Never ever thought I would live to see the day where people on GAF would wish for Toriyama to come back.

Wow.

People are just losing their patience, rightly so too. I've already lost interest after hearing them say how much the story has changed from the original concept. That and the lackluster showing of anything new after such a long time really doesn't help either. Having Toriyama helming another mainline FF is the last thing I would want and wish for. Especially after playing through all of FF XIII. My biggest fear is that XV will be the new XIII after waiting all those years for it. Airship DLC? Really?

Don't be, the rest of their projects are developed with an actual engine.

That appears to be the case

Though i am sure they have mountains of puzzle pieces and assets they have created and shelved over the past several years that they have no idea how to string together

This development looks even MORE messy than when they started

Man, so if this is whatever they scrounged up for Gamescom, they must really have had fuck all to show for E3. Hilarious.

If not for the other projects in the pipeline, seemingly from teams that actually ship games, I'd probably be a lot more annoyed. I'm actually slightly amused by all of this, haha.

A lot of things, they are a big company.

Let's look at all the games in development both western and Japanese made. Hmm, yeah quite a lot.

But because of this FFXV stuff, we don't do much. I don't know how but somehow we don't.

SE: ;_; why tabata-san, why? We want to do stuff.

It's amazing how all it took was one of these to completely undermine everyone's hopes that this was on track and maybe doing well. How are they screwing this up so badly?

The game is already on something of an uphill battle and this just makes it seem even worse.

I wonder if the KH3 team is just that much more organized.

Bad news is they may not release it on time for 10th anniversary
Positive news that is they have time for 15th anniversary

I never thought of it that way, wow.

"We at Square Enix are proud to announce, on the 10th Anniversary of the announcement of Final Fantasy XV... you'll be able to play FFXV... soon!"
