Aaaaaaaaaaany how...it's that time again.
I am just going to answer these questions as to how they relate to EXVS.
1. Best: EXVS, DLC added over the games life time, more than a year after release.
Worst: EXVS, A lot of DLC is equivalent of a palette swap, is not properly balanced. Old DLC can now be used for free but in very restricted circumstances.
2. Best: EXVS, arcade versions get updated with new characters over their life time, new characters are added based on cross promotional opportunities such as a Theatrical release of Gundam UC.
Worst: EXVS, the console version is 2 years behind the arcade version at the minimum.
3. Best: EXVS, It's based on Gundam which is one of the biggest and most recognizable franchises in Japan. The game is just one part of the whole brand that is being managed.
Worst: EXVS, Bandai fucked up with building up the Gundam franchise popularity in america and now will never willingly bring over anything that's licensed based on that property.
4/5. Best: EXVS, fanservice game so a lot of it is designed to appeal based on the characters and the shows they are from. Original audio tracks and licensed tracks from the shows are used, original voice actors for the characters speaking their most memorable lines. Characters are usually flashy and fun to use, combos are super simple and are pretty much one button. Combat is very slow compared to 2D games, requiring less practice and reflex based reactions.
Worst: EXVS, characters are very authentic to the source material so they might not fit into the meta game. Game has a very specific high level of play in mind that is not demonstrated and taught to the new players. Promotional videos encourage a style of play that is more likely to make them lose.
