nope. I stand by my and B-dubs statements. We also need a lot more polling than the scant 3-8 polls over the last 6 months averaged by huff and realclearpolitics.
Actually, isn't that even better for Bernie? Bernie is seen as being more progressive than Hillary. If independents aren't tilting the numbers significantly in Hillary's favor, doesn't that mean that Bernie is doing even better with the more progressive Democratic base?

I don't know what's worse: the obvious inaccuracy in relating this "scandal" or the fact that a lot of the people pushing it as a legitimate scandal are Democrats.As the Hillary email server scandal unfolds, her polls are going to drop. This is the beginning I think.
for those who don't know: Hillary had a private email server at her house which she used for Top Secret class government correspondence. Your not supposed to keep top secret documents in the home basement, much less a private email server

Not at all. During the last Democrat Primaries, Independent voters accounted for 41% of the total turnout. If anything, their sampling is consistent with NH voting patterns.

It is a scandal, and it's being pushed by Democrats because its dim significance means that its effect will be pretty short-term, meaning that it will help Sanders versus Clinton but likely won't matter by the time the general election rolls around.
Even if that were true, my point is this. If this meant that there were substantially more independents in this poll, who would normally be seen as favoring Clinton since she is more moderate and with greater name recognition, then wouldn't that mean that the percentage of Democrats voting for Bernie is even higher?
Independents aren't the same as moderates.
Not all of them. But certainly a greater percentage of them would be? Are you saying that the average independent is more progressive than the average Democrat?

The sad truth.
You'd have to ask them where they fall on the spectrum, there are people who register as independent for a lot of different reasons and to treat them all, or mostly, as moderates is a mistake. Not only that, but perhaps they would have different criteria of picking out a candidate. Perhaps they don't care as much about electablility as a Democrat would. All that said, unless we see another poll or two that gives these same results this could be nothing more than statistical noise.
