Every beta will include the PS4 version. It's just that the 2nd one includes the PC version in addition to the PS4 version. The first one doesn't even count because it went so badly. So technically PS4 players are still waiting for the 1st beta to begin. The 2nd one with PC and PS4 probably won't happen till October I'm guessing. 3rd one will probably happen sometime early next year, probably January.

This year is also doing a ft3 for the top 8 which will also lengthen the tournament. I'm curious how the hype will be as last year the audience was a fgc audience. Now there will be people who aren't into fighting games taking up seats.

Not a big deal if their are two streams, no long breaks, and we don't have to deal with Iphone DJ again. But if that's not the case then I really have to wonder WTF is going on at Capcom to drop the ball two years in a row. Until then I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that they're going to give us a good show.

Yeah, but 2 streams means you won't get to watch every match with your full attention like last year and it also splits up the attention of the people at the event. Will they not have all the matches on a big stage or what?

edit: Just rewatched the capcom pro talk announcement and Combo did say they were planning on making it a 2 day event.
 
c'mon even if they plan to have all matches including losers side matches streamed, it's too much for the viewers to digest in a single day. someone (not haunts) can do the math of the total matches for a 32 man double elim bracket but I'm certain a number of viewers (online and offline) will be worn out by the time they reach top 8.

Anime is love. Not better than manga.

Depends on what you watch. The echi shonen harem nonsense has a higher rate of turning into anime than the seinen hardcore ones with all the good stuff. Stuff like Ares, Vinland Saga, Real, I am a hero, Vagabond ,Sanctuary and Lone Wolf have a lower chance of turning into an anime series than the other million lewd stuff. Read manga instead. There is alot of high quality stuff that is unknown.

Giant robots are dumb and that is not wrong.

The robots themselves are dumb and fun but you can build anything around them from Eva to Gurren.
Linebarrels of iron is shit no matter what.

The thing is it's not the scale, it's the action. There are so few attacks in the game that give a sense of robots actually fighting, and not "humans that look like robots". This includes supers too.

I wouldn't mind if it was mini robots or giant robots in this case, but I think one of the first priorities of the game should be to up the robotic feel, environment and sounds. Cause right now it just looks like any other 2D human fighter both in play and style.

The don't feel like giant robots or that there are people inside or being worn like a suit. Feels like machines being controlled from the outsides that move very unrobot like and fluid.
