Here's my CRT with a SNES hooked up (in the green drawer). Also pictured: Xbox, Xbox 360 and PS2 games, along with my Saturn Twin Stick and Sakura Taisen mouse/mousepad (boxed).
To the right of the CRT are my PSOne, PS3, PS4, Genesis (and import MegaDrive) and Dreamcast games.
Even further right is my Nintendo shrine. These shelves hold all of the games that released on Nintendo systems, from NES/Famicom to Wii U (and handhelds), from top to bottom.
Continuing right, there's my modern TV (sitting on an old Japanese dresser that survived firebombings in Kobe in WWII) along with my PS4 and Wii U consoles (under dust covers). To the bottom left is my fat, white (Japanese) PS3 sitting vertically (also under dust cover). Also pictured are my PSP and Vita games to the left.
A word about my cartridge based retro games. Almost all of them have been placed inside plastic cases, with high quality reproduction cover art printed and inserted into the cases' outer sleeves. Here's a look at some of my N64 games:
And NES:
The cases were ordered in bulk from a supplier that would send cases to video and game rental places. They hold the game, manual and usually any maps or inserts as well. Here's a look inside Zelda: AlttP:
Here's my jumble of retro controllers. All but one of them are first party (not sure where I got that 3rd party PS2 one...):
Finally, unpictured are my 180 or so Saturn games (all Japanese region) and consoles, which I have pretty much every single one for any games I own. I used to have the systems all hooked up at once, but changed the setup since my son was born and needed to better conserve space. Here's how it used to look:
