The 2k15 gameplay impressions from August were fairly mixed from what I recall. Even IGN wasn't sold on some of the new systems that were introduced and noted how it slowed the gameplay down. There were never overwhelming positive impressions for 2k15.
I ended up really liking the way it plays and I'm glad they are still sticking to a lot of it this year.
As for story creator. I really wonder what the stats were on how much it was used. I personally never touched it but it was a good advertising piece thanks to youtubers using it. They should consider bringing it back just for that.
I would prefer a GM mode personally.

All my stories got removed. I'm not sure if you're allowed to have people die or not, but having God Foley ask you what to do to be ressurected and Jeff Hardy ODing should be fine dammit.
EDIT: I keep hearing about GM mode, but just incorporate it into Universe mode and people would be as happy as pigs in shit.

I got banned last year for saying that theclosetfan worked for Yukes. The game was horrible and I was doing a public service and warning people to stay away, which was justified seeing how the final product ended up.
That being said, I got this year's game preordered since I had a dell gift card they gave me for free for buying a TV so I'm getting the game for $5. The Austin story mode should be fun to play through since it apparently goes back to WCW, even if the gameplay, commentary, graphics, and sound are all horrible.

Yukes has never been able to do hair correctly. It has been trash since the original Smackdown.
Yikes. This hair looks like they imported it from the Wii version of WWE 2k14 or something. Which in turn is imported directly from the PS2 SvR games, so I guess what I really wanted to say is that the hair is PS2-levels bad.

IGN put up a really good article on the reversal system and working holds. Both sound like they are implemented very well.
He goes into some strategy regarding the reversal system. I like the idea of opting to wait until your opponent is out of reversals to execute your finisher. There's definitely a lot more logic to it.
The introduction of working holds seems to fit well with their stamina system.
The new submission and reversal system in theory should do away with some button mashing. You're not going to want to spam reversals and you no longer need to literally mash buttons to get out of submissions.

This actually looks worse than 2K15, graphically and gameplay. Owens and Balor look like CAWs, Rollins' hair is awful, it looks clunkier than ever, and JBL's commentary makes the already awful commentary worse.

Hopefully we can still use CAW slots for edited wrestlers. I haven't heard confirmation that is back yet. I want to be able to keep people up-to-date.
The potential for 220 wrestlers right out of the box is good.
They're probably not going to use it.without story mode though, right?
No word yet AFAIK but it wouldn't hurt to have a mode for it since they're adding a lot of women to the game.

Doubt it will happen. WWE won't let them do women vs men matches and a career focusing against only other women would be boring since so few women on the roster.
Oh god how big is the save file going to be... Really hope Yukes learned about compression this year.
Depends on compression, because that can impact load times. I'd much rather have a bigger save file than that.

There is no story creation, so VGCW will not use it.
Well there's 11 revealed so far, if it goes as high as 20+ and they throw in some CAD made up wrestlers there'd be enough for it to happen...that's a lot of ifs though.

That just flat out need increasing, that's been full for me well before WWE 2k15. It's already got shitty load times, add compression to the mix and the time to decompress would put me off even using CAWs.
