Apparently it may just be getting glossed over in a video package. Trying to piece info together from the 2k Forums.

Yeah, they said they couldn't hear it, so for all we know, people might be skipping it to get more time with the actual game.

Bam Bam is in? Cool!

I wish they would put GM mode back into those games, i had way more fun playing as GM than having actually matches. And with a roster that big... it'd be amazing.

Well assuming the WCW and ECW bits were in the video, we clearly need Dangerous Alliance in, especially with Zybysko and Madusa just going into the hall of Fame last year. If you've got Arn, you've gotta have the horsemen.

That's good then. I should look through Austin's matches to see who we might get.

What I posted on an old page for Austin WWF PPV opponents.:

Savio Vega, Marc Mero, Jake Roberts, Yokozuna, Triple H, Bret Hart, Vader, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Owen Hart, British Bulldog, Brian Pillman, Jim Neidhart, Road Warriors, Ken Shamrock, Goldust, Dude Love, The Rock, Mankind, Chainsaw Charlie, New Age Outlaws, Kane, Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon, Rikishi, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Booker T, Dudley Boyz, DDP, Rhyno, Rob Van Dam, Big Show, Scott Hall, Ric Flair, and Eric Bischoff

Obviously take out Benoit & Angle and most likely Owen Hart unless his wife has cooled on hating WWE so much. Think Bischoff would be a bit long too.

Highlighted the confirmed ones, the very likely ones and the 2 that weren't likely, but were claimed to be seen on video/t-shirt in the crowd.

Lot of good names there, although I would love people like The Road Warriors and Scott Hall. Are there chances 0%?

Scott should be fine, Hall of Famer himself and he had a Wrestlemania match with Austin, so hoping. Just hasn't been in for a while so I didn't want to bold him. Think Animal is fine with LOD and Hawks family have signed him off for inclusion before too, so that's up to 2k.

Here's hoping they're added.

They showed Hall/Nash/X-Pac in the crowd at NXT Takeover, so they're at least on good terms. I don't see why you wouldn't put him in, if Nash is already confirmed.

The Austin/Snake video looked pretty good. It's a damn shame when it transitions to gameplay the audio gets SO BAD... Jesus, it's got to be the worst audio of any major release.

https://youtu.be/6sDYEvJB6yE?t=2m54s

Austin pile drives Jake Roberts, and King comments on that. But then immediately starts talking about when you get out of the ring, anything can happen,a nd stairs can deal massive damage... it's like... WHY.

Austin then nails his signature brawling punches... King goes "That's it... He's out!" And then JR follows that up with "not going to win many matches with that move," as Austin wins.

But some nice touches... the animations look really good, and it's great that the Stunner that Austin uses on Roberts is his old style of stunner where he sets it up, not the kick to the stomach stunner. Now, that's in non-gameplay cutscene but it's still good that they did this correctly.

Finlay (with mullet), DDP, Bam Bam, and Luger are in. Hopefully they've bothered to tweak them, but it looks like all of last years DLC bar Hogan will be available.

This pisses me off. He represented wrestling to me when i was growing up. I can't imagine recreating decades of wrestling without him in it.

I hope we can get Diesel and Razor as alts for Hall/Nash complete with theme music.

Also Sycho Sid should be in too. No? Didn't he have a few run ins with Austin in 96? What about The Patriot?

Yeah, Operation Sports seemed fairly balanced, pointing out a couple of things they don't like, but even when they talk about "characters acting like they have personality in the ring", I never fully buy it. They might do for a certain subset of characters, but then the jobbers get left in the cold making it pointless to have such a large roster.

Apparently the WWE 2K14 servers have been down for 4 days. Have they finally killed 2K14 off? I hope not... I wanna download more CAWs for my dumb stories. :(

Nah, they'd have made a decision a while back. But if they were under contract already and just kept it under wraps, they may have snuck in.

Also had to look up what you meant since Summerslam was the first WWE I watched since Mania and it gave me no desire to watch Raw... Now I'm going to watch Raw when I get home.

I will never believe WWE 2K impressions, as bobo said, they have been suspect every year.

I remember the Bomb crew being very much "I don't know about his one" last year. So not everyone is always glowing. I was also among the first to play it and didn't like it. Sadly this year I only saw the behind closed door presentation at Gamescom, but didn't have the chance to play it. 2K thought it was a smart idea to only have it playable on the public show floor. Last year they at least had a couple of stations with the demo in the press area.

Well yeah GB is different since they run their site on giving their legit personal opinions.

The world of written preview features is a beast of it's own, and it's a very sleazy beast that you probably shouldn't trust.

I'm just saying, don't throw everyone under the same bus.

I'm mostly thinking of the IGN previews for the WWE games that are almost entirely positive every single year.

Did not intend to throw all of video games journalism under a bus.

Oh yeah, those are worthless.

I wish I got to try it out this year. I mean what I saw didn't look much different, but I would have at least liked to try out the new chain wrestling system. Last year's version of it was just terrible.

That's the thing I'm seeing in the bits of footage I've been exposed to. This one really looks no different. And last year was pretty bad.

It sounds like they've tried to address the main things in gameplay, but the atmosphere is still the same and utter shit and the fact they've not addressed creation suite limits or Universe mode changes yet means that they'll likely be the same as last year. universe hasn't had a significant change in at least 3 years.

Figuring Career mode will be similar again. The creative has nothing for you simulator.

Most of the presentation I got was "Look at how good Finn looks!" and "Here are all the creation tools we are putting back in except for story creation, because why would we do that?"

Story creator isn't in again? DAMMMIIIIITTTTTTTT KONAMI!!!!!!!!!!

Nope, I specifically asked about it. During the presentation they were touting that they are putting all these creation options back in, but I thought it was weird that story creator is not on this slide. I asked and it's totally not in.
