I am watching a movie and twice the guy took a bath to get clean so far. He didn't shower first or anything... just sat wallowing in his filthy water. I can see a soak after a long day or something, but this seems to be part of his hygiene routine.

Who takes baths? Do people bathe? Let's find out!

I shower every morning and take the occasional bath in the evening to relax. Not the most efficient way to clean your body, though.

Like joelseph said, wunter can be a nice time to read or (carefully, without electrocuting yourself,) surf the web and take a bath.

That makes sense, as long as you are there to make sure they don't drown.

of course. Although I will say I've dealt with shit in a tub a couple times now and the result is that we are transitioning to showers very quickly.

Growing up my home was older and had a classic lion feet bathtub, no shower though. My dad hired some terrible contractor to modify it for a shower, I was probably 15 by then. So yeah, I took regular baths until I was 15.

The idea that you get dirtier in a bath is wrong. That being said, I don't usually take baths except if I have a giant jacuzi tub on vacation.

I remember pooping in the tub as a kid. Lemme tell you... it's really relaxing.

I tried to take a bath the other day but the drain plug thing wasn't water tight so that stinks :/

Would definitely like a bigger tub tho. I miss being able to pretty much lay down in the tub, now I have to bend my knees a bit and don't have a ton of room to maneuver to wash my feet well and stuff.
Either that or I'm just not flexible enough

I only shower.

Full blown bathing seems like a monumental waste of time and water lol
showers can take more water but it depends on your shower and how much time you take

But the point of bathing anyway (at least for me) is to lay there and enjoy it rather than being as fast as possible :P

My old man. I don't honestly remember the last time I heard him take a shower. He gets mocked constantly for it by the rest of the family.

I'll take a bath like once in a blue moon if I've had a really rough/cold/wet day riding, but otherwise I just can't be bothered waiting for the fucking tub to fill up.

You run the shower after the bath to rinse properly. Bath is for relaxing, clearing your mind.

Not actually necessary with how soap bonds with dirt and sweat particles. But certainly gives you peace of mind.

Purchase a bath pillow that suctions on the wall above the bath. Allows you to relax back comfortably with your head on a pillow. Soogood.jif.

I'm going to take a bath tonight, fuck it.

I bet the hotel cleaning staff on your vacations just love you!

;)

I don't get to take baths.

My bathroom only has a shower stall. No tub.

I do sit during a shower sometimes, though.

I got insanely sick after a trip to India a few years back, to the point I couldn't stand up for more than a few seconds without getting dizzy or fainting. Also had terrible vomiting and diarrhea. All I could do was crawl into the shower stall, and lie curled up in a ball shitting and puking and crying while the water washed over me. That was the only time I really ever sat in a shower.

I'll admit to taking baths. Heck, I do it every single night before bed for the most part. In the house my wife and I bought in 2013 there is a big jacuzzi soak tub in the master bath with a wide side that is large enough to set stuff up. I mainly watch my YT stuff at that time. I don't do it every time, but yes I turn the jets on as well. I'll never have a house without a huge tub again.

I showere every morning to really "clean". The bath is only really for relaxing and winding down for me.

Heck though, even our shower has a seat I'll chill on sometimes, haha.

I like to get in and out and don't find baths all that relaxing, so I'd rather just take a shower and get out. A hot tub with my SO and/or friends on the other hand is quite fun and relaxing, though.

During the colder seasons I often will wind down with a nice joint and some youtube in a hot bath. Shit is sublime.

You sound like one of my old roommates.

I only have a bath in my house so there we go! The biggest downside is the amount of time it takes to run water, really.

I have them all the time, but it's not part of my cleaning routine. I shower first thing in the morning each day, for cleaning. The bath is for night and relaxing in super hot water.

I used to take baths once a week but my current apartment has leaky pipes and neighbors downstairs complained that water was leaking through their ceiling. It feels like a good detox.

I could live without a tub. I am more of a shower guy. I only really need it to watch Cerny videos on YouTube.
