First mission question.

where are the rough diamonds hidden in Spugmay Keep?

Interrogate the soldiers to find them or usually in buildings. Any materials and items can be found in buildings. Plants well, all around you.

Should I leave reflex mode on or off?

I noticed the A.I is pretty good actually so I'm unsure.

They can spot you from 40 meters away if you aren't careful so, it's up to you.

The phone app is downloadable if anyone is interested. I thought I could waste some time while I wait for the game to be delivered, but it crashes on me at start. Couple more hours of waiting.

Hmm Amazon shipping question for the game:

If I ordered a couple other games with MGS V, all in one order, Is Amazon really going to wait until everything is ready to ship?

Is there no way to change that?

MGS is my favorite series of all time but I would like to know for the people who love the cutscenes so much, how would you do MGS5? knowing that the context of this game is you coming back as a legend and rebuilding what you lost. I mean in that context, I see no other way to do it than what Kojima did and he succeeded in that, you feel like you're Big Boss in every sense. There is still crazy shit happening with the story but it's spread out and it's heading in a very interesting direction so far. Much better than the base game this was built on which is PW, like megatons better in terms of gameplay, cutscenes, bosses and story.

Furthermore, it plays like a dream with more options to do things than you can think of.

EDIT: The replay value for this game is insane and that's without FOB or MGO.

It's easily the best in the series for me.

But I never put the other titles on that high of a pedestal to be honest, even though I really did enjoy them. Gameplay wise, they can only wish to be MGSV. Don't for the lack of wacky cutscenes, I've forgotten most of them anyway.

Uh, hey dumb question, no spoilers, but in episode one where am i supposed to go?

To where the yellow mark is? Just that i was told to put a marker at a town and didn't know which one to go to.

Damnit. Set my alarm for 5 and either that didn't go off or it didn't wake me up.

Beginning my download now, anyway. Should be done in 2hrs 50mins.

Just one more sleep and a full day of work. Then its 3 days of no work and just MGS. I can't wait to not be jealous of all of you playing it already.

Loving everything so far, afterall I only watched a trailer a year ago! Snake being silent is my favorite part, feels like a Nintendo character and gameplay is far better than Ground Zeroes.
My only problem was that in the first mission
Ocelot told me to go to that little group of houses, I went there, put everyone to sleep but couldn't find anything. He talked about the antennas but still I didn't know what to do
, but I'm probably going to solve it myself when I have more time to play.

Wow, beat the prologue and I just made it to the 1st mission, and the game is amazing. It's just like the trailers made it out to be, no loading no lag no bullshit. PC version runs like butter.

I wasn't able to connect to Konami servers. Does this mean I've lost all my GZ save carryover? And will it come back if I can connect?

Didn't see it mentioned in the op so could anyone tell me what stuff I need to do to maximize my Ground Zeroes save transfer?

Is it really just rescuing all the prisoners?

I just picked up ground zeroes on the weekend and have been flailing at it since it's my first MGS since PS1. Is there a tutorial section of the full game or are you thrown in like an asshole like Ground Zeroes?

Yeah, it lasts about an hour and ensures I'll only play through the game once unless there's a way to skip it completely. Infuriatingly slow.

Prologue is pretty much a tutorial, and in game they prompt you with new tips when its relevant.

Without any spoilers, how was the intro?
Teaches the controls to new players and entertains the old ones with an interesting cinematic experience. It's slow and sometimes repetitive in what happens but I loved it.
Oh yeah, the soundtrack is amazing, sometimes tracks start even when you listen to tapes.

Wow, that intro was (impressions only, I've spoilered them so people who haven't played it don't have to read it yet)
so awful. I get the point that's trying to be expressed, but there was so much fat that could've been trimmed from that. It's one of the worst bloated, most overproduced tutorials I've ever played in a game. It could've been 30 minutes shorter. I absolutely hated that and couldn't wait for it to be over.

The new camera direction since Ground Zeroes also makes me very motion sick. There's a lot of rack zooms, constant close ups, and really bad shaky cam. I couldn't finish the movie Cloverfield because of motion sickness, and it's a really bad problem here. The same is true in The Phantom Pain.

Post prologue mild spoilers

cant find what it is Im supposed to find in town 1 (the one that supposedly has clues about Miller)

Any tips?
