Well, PDZ was a 6th gen game ported over to 7th gen. It also started development at the very beginning of 6th gen. So take that with what you will.

I finally got to play this and I'm a little disappointed with a couple of the titles. For example, Perfect Dark. I owned that on my 360 already and it was a bit buggy. Just playing through it yesterday, I ran into 2 annoying bugs that forced me to restart the level I was playing on. I was hoping these things would be fixed.
The most important titles for me in this is Conker's BFD and Blast Corps. Later today, I'll finally load Conker's and try to finish it up for the 20th time lol.

The Xbox 360 games are pretty much unchanged, you're just running them via backwards compatibility. I wouldn't expect to see any significant fixes, I'm afraid.

I got that too. Reinstalling it fixed the problem, and it never happened again.

Why wouldn;t you spend any fruit? The combat must be awfully boring without any of the advanced techniques. There's no reason to get them all unless you're a completionist as you only need 8-0 to max out every sprite.
Score attack mode is pretty boring as you need to grind enemies in rooms with infinite spawns if you want an A rank. Thankfully if you get the co-op achievements you only need a single A rank to get all 10 stamps.

So Blast Corps has been great, but I think I need to put my completionist needs to one side and call it a day here - throwing myself against Angel City and Diamond Sands is just going to get too frustrating, While having four achievements sitting at 90% is a shame, there's no way that I'm going to get straight gold medals anyway.

I got an A rank on the Ice Temple. It's the easiest to A rank IMO. You just need to not fail the escort parts and you should be good. The other A ranks are annoying. The early levels are really hard to get enough points on and the later levels all have cheap deaths that can make you lose.
Getting all the collectibles gets you the 50g Game Complete achievement, and beating all of the levels except the first on Co-op will net you another 50g. Beating the game nets 600g, so getting these 2 and 1 A rank is all you need to do.

It's kind of insane how quickly I'm going through Banjo Kazooie. I remember most of the first worlds, but as a kid I was so bad that it took me forever to get puzzle pieces. Blowing my mind that I got all 10 puzzle pieces in the first world in like 15 minutes.

Was there an update for PDZ? I can't remember if there was one. Anyways, I've been playing a bunch of mp games locally vs bots and the game is running Perfect.
Edit: there was a recent update for Xbox one I downloaded earlier. If that had anything to do with it.

The art direction is really nice. Showdown town is a mess though. I really like the challenges, but the frame rate plus some really strange design decisions are keeping me from moving forward with it.

Has anyone here had troubles with the notes in Banjo-Kazooie? I got all the notes in every level up until Tick Tock Woods, and I find myself missing 4 notes. I've gone through several guides and video walkthroughs step by step and haven't found the last 4. Pretty sure the game bugged out on me.
It didn't glitch because the only note glitch is in Mad Monster Mansion. You're most likely missing the ones in the hive. Go check there in every season.

Already did that. I've literally followed video walkthroughs and repeated their motions in my game while watching the video. I think I had them all until I got to winter, but for some reason I can't get them all to appear. I suspect it's the four that normally go on top of the completed treehouse

I don't think it did at launch. They added it in an update if I recall. The XBL co-op at least.

That lava surfing segment is Conker's is giving me serious difficulties... it shouldn't be this hard! I'm enjoying the game though, first time that I've played it.
Its a spinoff treated as a main entry and the jokes rubbing the dissonance with previous installments start funny and then just come out cynical. "You could be playing what you actually wanted instead of this lololol"

The OT title needs to be changed, because jetpacks didn't have ks in the 80s.
I'm actually fine with like every other jab and reference but the "WE COULD BE USING X RIGHT NOW" bits get me. The joke is definitely supposed to be Kazooie wants her abilities back than anything mean spirited though.
I don't know. I'm totally willing to concede the problem begins and ends with me. I'm trying to give the game a chance, but I'm having trouble getting fun from this whole new mechanic the title expects me to embrace from the getgo. Maybe if the gameplay was more enjoyable for me I could take the jabs in better taste (and I do recognize the self deprecation is rather Rareish), but eeeeeeeh. Really getting a Direct To Dvd feelin' from the venture so far.

Not sure why everybody keeps saying N&B was a spinoff. Rare never said it was a spinoff. I think it's just people who are bitter about the direction the game went through calling it a spinoff.
Can't speak for everybody, but personally I consider it a spinoff because of its radical deviation when compared to previous entries (it's not even that it became a different kind of platformer, it's a whole other genre altogether), and because, again for me, it reaally gives me that vibe in its presentation and tone. Gruntilda even quips that "after some consideration, I'll treat this ruse as a free vacation!". Spinoff is not an inherently derogatory term so I don't think it's used out of bitterness, but rather to more quickly summarize the feeling it gives off to longtime fans.
I'll also say that I didn't play this back in the day, had my expectations in check when I tried it, and so far it just isn't working for me. Will power through to see if my mind changes.

I don't know. Many people seem to always dismiss N&B as a "spinoff". I notice that it's usually the people that are upset about it not being a platformer. I can see how people would call it a spinoff because of the genre change, but at the same time, there's a lot of noticeable bitterness involved.
Who knows? Maybe it IS a spinoff, or maybe it isn't. Only the developers know, but not even the developers have ever specified what it is. Unless I'm missing something.
Tell me about it. I wanted to explore Spiral Mountain so bad but it's actually the final level in the entire game. And I was not about to sit through that. I've tried N&B more times than I care to remember. I just can not get into it.

Doesn't the story speak for itself? It clearly explains at the beginning that it's not a spin-off. It takes place 8 years after Tooie, with only Grunty's head remaining, just as it was at the end of its predecessor. I get its not a platformer like everyone wanted, but it doesn't change the placement of game in the overall timeline of the series. The only spin-off is Banjo Pilot.

Never got to play Conker so that should be fun too (I'm okay with inverted cameras--not that hard to get adjusted to).

You forgot about Grunty's Revenge as well. And yeah, I know, GR was meant to take place between Kazooie and Tooie, but I don't think it's canon, is it?
Why wouldn't it be canon? As you said, it takes place in between the other two titles. It fits in the story. It's just typically ignored because it wasn't a console release. That shouldn't make it any less canon than the other games.

You're right about the fact that the game gets ignored because it's a handheld title, but GR isn't acknowledged in either Tooie or Nuts & Bolts, and those games take place after GR story-wise. I guess Tooie is understandable since it came out before GR, but N&B doesn't seem to acknowledge GR. Unless I'm mistaken.
Ultimately the defense for it not being a spinoff lies in semantics. The game can officially be a main entry, and sure, let's go with that, because as mentioned it does continue where the other ones left off and whatnot. Now, that doesn't mean it personally comes across as anything but a spinoff when I play it. My point isn't that this game IS a spinoff and has to be considered one; that'd be childish and a stupid thing to pursue validity on. But I am saying that it does *feel* like a spinoff for me. From the tone to the presentation to the different gameplay to the script to what have you.
Gonna go with an example. Metroid Prime: Federation Forces. Let's say the game incorporates canonical details from the Prime series in its story. Thus makin' it officially another entry in the series, not a spinoff. Assuming (bear with me) that the game stays the exact same as we've seen right now, it'd be a great departure in atmosphere, in gameplay style, in many aspects from previous installments. The game could have an officially recognized spot in the timeline, it could be considered an official entry by Nintendo, but that won't stop fans from -feeling- the game is a spinoff given how different it is. That's what I mean. What's in a name?
Really wish I could enjoy this game more; as said, I'm gonna keep giving it a chance for now.
Most fun I've had so far was picking the notes over Showdown Town, only for Mumbo and L.O.G. to pester me into getting in my car. Mumbo, you used to be cool, man...
As far as I know, the only reference to it is a vague "we've collected Jiggies at least two times already" by Kazooie, but that's it.

Battletoads Arcade is such a huge step up from the NES version. Having only played the SNES Battletoads in the past, the NES version was pretty rough.
